"So what is this showcase really about?" Mum asked as we sat in our seats. Today was the first day of Riley's summer programme, Piper of course signed herself up after sweet talking Mum and Dad
But hey I'm not going to complain it means I get to spend the summer with Riley and the family
"It's basically going to show everyone the type of dancers they are, what they want to teach this summer" I explained
"So you can get a feel before you start" Dad said making us all nod before we turned to the stage to see the show starting 

"I think you're going to learn a lot this summer Piper" Dad said making me smile as we continued to watch the show, I hadn't seen much of it while Riley was down here alone, I facetimed during a few rehearsals but Ri kept it pretty lowkey 

"And now we know why she is going to Julliard" Dad teased making me chuckle
"Julliard is the last place I thought you would end up" Piper said nudging me
"Thanks Pipesqueak" I said with an eyeroll

"I didn't mean it in a negative way, you can't honestly say that before you met Riley that school was on your radar" She pointed out
"Everything happens for a reason" I said making Piper smile
"Yeah but while you two are away at college please don't mess it up. I can't fix it from a distance" She said making both our parents laugh while I continued to roll my eyes 

"Oh the faith my family has in me is amazing" I said making them all smile and nod in my direction

The show was soon over with and it meant we had the chance to go back stage and see Riley, meet the rest of the dancer which I think will help Piper when it comes to her classes tomorrow
"Hey!" Riley smiled pressing her lips against mine before noticing my family

"That was wonderful sweetie" Mum said hugging Riley
"We are royally impressed" Dad said taking his turn to hug Riley
"How about we go introduce you to everyone" Riley said hugging Piper beating her to the next question

Riley intertwined our hands as we started to walk through the building until we got to a big what I'm going to assume was a dressing room, where everyone who had performed tonight sat
"Lover boy has arrived ladies and gentlemen" Daniel teased as soon as he saw me 
"Nice to see you again James" Michelle smiled making me chuckle 

Over the course of my relationship with Riley, I'd learnt that these two aren't going anywhere no matter what so that meant I had to get into their good books and you know.. I think I managed to do that 

Piper ran off with Riley allowing her to introduce Piper to everyone she didn't know while I stood with Daniel and Michelle
"Can you believe we are all going to be at Julliard next year?" Daniel asked smiling 
It was a recent development that I found out the pair of them were joining us too
"James you should have majored in Dance" Michelle said nudging me 

"Now you're going to have to watch another guy with his hands all over your girlfriend" Daniel teased 
"Daniel pack it in" Riley said now joining us again
"I'm just sayinggg" He said before walking off, Michelle rolled his eyes before leaving to follow him 

I turned to Riley to see a smile on her face, this truly was the place she was the most happiest 
"You okay?" She asked placing her hand on my chest
"Of course I am" I smiled pressing my lips against hers making her giggle lightly

"Ignore Daniel alright?" She asked as we pulled away
"Gladly" I winked watching as her lips crept up into a smile again

Later that evening, Mum, Dad and Piper went back to the Hotel while I went to stay with Riley in the house that the entire group had rented out for the summer.
We were currently laid in bed that night while we could heard everyone else downstairs
"They should be in bed soon" Riley laughed as we could hear the laughter

"We can join them if you want Ri" I said but she shook her head turning over to lay onto my chest
"I don't want to, I want to spend time with you" She pouted making me chuckle as I pecked her lips 

"We have all the time to spend time together Ri, you aren't getting rid of my anytime soon. Plus you're stuck with me through your entire college life too" I winked 

Riley giggled lightly before smiling pressing her lips against mine again 

"I can't wait" She smiled once more

I didn't realise how much things would change the moment we got a new neighbour but I don't ever what to think what would have happened if Riley had never moved in across the road 

And I can't wait to see what College has in store for us neck
