Punished by bullies: Rory Gilmore's 17th

Chapter 1: Cruel plans

For weeks on end, Rory Gilmore had been looking forward to turning 17 on the 8th of October. But Allison Hargreaves, now 18, and her friends Becky, also 18, and Becky's younger cousin Jackie, now 15, had also been looking forward to that day and putting plans in place for very different reasons. For all of them, making Rory Gilmore miserable was at the top of their list for fun school activities. After all, they reasoned, weak girls must suffer.

For all three young women, the thought of ruining Rory's birthday yet again was quite a turn on. This time round, Jackie decided to spice things up by bringing her tall and hunky older boyfriend Tristin Dugray with her. Tristin, 17, was a charming but arrogant boy who'd once tried to romance his classmate Rory in a semi-menacing way, something that he'd kept from his girlfriend Jackie. He'd picked on Rory in the past by persistently calling her Mary - a reference to the Virgin Mary that implied she was too pure for her own good.

Rory's mom Lorelai couldn't afford the fees for expensive Chilton so her rich grandparents are footing the bill in the hope of her getting into an Ivy League Uni

Even though she was turning 17, Rory was still a virgin. She was dating Dean, but he was her first boyfriend and she'd never had sex with him, or any other boy. Tristin had been surprised when Jackie told him the plan for today, but not too shocked. He realised that as he'd always enjoyed Rory's timid reactions to his name calling in the past, he'd probably enjoy the physical bullying that was planned for today. He also wanted to show support and loyalty to his girlfriend.

Tristin once had a thing for Rory but she didn't want to date him 

From months of observing her, the four of them had Rory's every movement tracked. It was Wednesday so they knew PE was Rory's last lesson of the day, ending at about 3.15pm. They also knew Rory had her nerdy student council meeting at 3.30pm, and that she'd be attempting to head home to her mommy Lorelai by 4pm to celebrate her milestone birthday.

But little did Rory know she would never make that meeting, or that Lorelai was unlikely to see her until the following day.

Allison and Becky planned to sneak into the changing rooms that day at about 3pm and make sure that Rory couldn't leave. That Wednesday in school, it was all that any of them could think about; they just spent all day counting down the time until 3pm.

Since Rory's 16th, Allison, Becky and Jackie had picked on Rory fairly regularly. They liked calling her names or harassing her in the corridors whenever the chance arose. 

On the last day before school had broken up for the summer, Rory won a prize for most hardworking student in 10th grade and was really pleased with herself. Allison, Becky and Jackie all had to sit and watch Rory receive the award during a whole-school final assembly of the year. What irritated them most was her innocent but slightly smug smile of self-satisfaction as Headmaster Charleston presented her with the certificate as if she was his favourite daughter. 

Rory accepted an award for most hardworking student on the last day of 10th grade 

After school that day, the three bullies had waited for Rory, pulled her schoolbag off her and threw it in a playground trash bin. When Rory tried to get her bag back, Allison pushed her down on the lawn while Becky rubbed her nose in mud and Jackie told her: "This is what happens when you're a fucking teacher's pet."

"Titless little bitch", Becky said as she kept pushing Rory's nose into the mud. 

"Little boy!", said Allison as she held Rory's legs down. 

Out of that whole incident, it was the words that hurt Rory most. She had carried those words around in her head all summer and into the current school year. Since starting 11th grade, she'd tried not to be so much of a teacher's pet any longer, although that was a big challenge for her as she naturally got on so well with her teachers. Allison's remark about her being a boy also bothered her a lot. She was certainly embarrassed to be behind girls two or three years younger than her (like Jackie) in her overall physical development. She didn't really like makeup and she'd avoided sex so far. But did all that really make her a boy? 

After school on the last day of 10th grade, Rory's smile of satisfaction quickly turned to dread when she saw Allison, Becky and Jackie waiting for her

With Rory's tormentors mostly being in different grades, incidents like that were very sporadic. In fact, Jackie was the most consistent about harassing Rory and had no problem acting alone. Whenever the younger girl saw Rory around school, she liked to sneak up behind her and get her in a headlock or punch her in the back. Sometimes she'd hold Rory's arms back while kneeing her in the bum repeatedly. As long as she saw no teachers around, she'd always keep going.

But today, they were all teaming up and they'd make sure Rory couldn't escape them...
