The Nutcracker

(POV:Reader)

-"So, do you like him?"

-"Yes, I've never seen anything like it!"

-"He's a nutcracker, Y/n, here let me show you how it works" I gave it to him and he pulled a wooden latch in the back and the mouth opened he put a but inside and pressed the latch down, causing the nut to break.

-"Ooh! Let me try!"

-"Why of course, my dear" it was quite fun to do, it wasn't much but it was an interesting thing.

-"Can I try, can I try!" Fritz tried pulling the nutcracker away from me.

-"It's my turn!"

-"But I found him!"

-"Now Y/n, let Fritz have a turn"

-"But he'll break it, he always does!"

-"Now Y/n, be reasonable"

-"Please, he always does!"

-"Oops! Oh Oh!"

-"Oh no! FRITZ!" I yelled at him.

-"Fritz, now what have you done?" uncle Drosselmeyer asked.

-"I didn't know"

-"You don't know anything! Give him to me!" I snatched it from his hands.

-"I knew you'd break it! I just knew!" I looked at the nutcracker's teeth that had been knocked out.

-"You can have him, I don't care, he's not even a real soldier," Fritz said and left.

-"Poor nutcracker..."

-"There, there, Y/n, come and sit by the fire with me and I'll tell you all about the nutcracker"

-"And how he came to look the way he does" I sat on the ground near the fireplace with the nutcracker at hand.
