Jake seperated from kate and smiled.
Jake: "I- uhh... that was..."
"Nice?" Kate said quietly.
"Yeah" jake whispered.
"Umm.... anyways" kate muttered.
"Doesnt look like we can stay in my apartment tonight" kate said gesturing to her blown up apartment building.
"No... i guess we cant" jake said.
"... i have a... crazy... idea" kate said.
"What? W- what is it?" Jake asked.
"Clints house" kate blurted out.
Jake: "What?! Are you insane?!"
"I know i know its crazy but the bartons dont know that coopers the twilight assassin, ive already wore him out so he wont try to kill me" kate explained.
"Oh my god i cant believe im saying this" jake muttered.
"Fine, fine BUT you sleep with me tonight! Ok? I dont want you getting hurt"
"Already planning on it" kate whispered to herself.
"What was that?" Jake asked.
Kate: "Nothing"
They both went to clints house and knocked on the door.
"Kate! What happened to you?" Clint asked.
"It was co- i mean the twilight assassin... the assassin did this to me" kate explained.
"He blew up my apartment, i need to stay here for.... i dont know how long."
Clint: "Of course"
Kate looks over at jake.
"Oh and... of course i'll need jake here too... because.... he's... uhh.... helping me with my wounds! Yeah he'll help me get patched up...." kate stammers.
Clint: "Ok"
They got settled in and jake helped clean up kates wounds.
Time skip
"Hey clint so wheres cooper?" Kate asked.
"Hes upstairs taking a shower why?" Clint asked.
"No reason... its just you know he was with you at the event and i just... didnt see him" kate explained.
Cooper walked out of the hallway and his smile suddenly dropped when he saw kate.
"Kate... what are you doing here?" He asked.
"It was that... murderer... he blew up my apartment... cooper" kate said cautiously.
"Uh huh.... im... im gonna go to bed.... goodnight.... kate... jake... dad" cooper said as he went up to bed.
Kate, jake and clint talked for a while until they all went to bed.
Jake and kate got under the covers and faced each other.
"Kate?" Jake whispered.
Kate: "yeah?"
"Are you ok? You know... staying here?" Jake asked.
"Yeah.... i guess, i mean we have no other place to stay and hopefully we'll be safe" kate explained.
Jake and kate layed there for a few more minutes.
"Hey kate" jake said.
"Yeah?" Kate asked.
Jake: "I have a question"
Kate: "Sure whats up?"
"Can i....... can i kiss you?" Jake asked.
