CHAPTER 8

JS2: ZARI'S POV.

I highlighted the important words in my law book before I close it and proceed to another one. Napahikab ako at nagbaba ng tingin sa relo, it's already 6 PM. I roam my eyes around, wondering why Kaden didn't study with me...it is because we're law enemies and law enemies don't do study together or he's busy with something else?

Nagkibit balikat ako at nagsimula na namang pag aralan ang kasunod na libro, I'm actually almost done with all the books...all I need is review. Mahirap pag walang review. I was busy turning pages with matching stretching my arm when I notice a shadow beside me, standing.

I saw Kaden having an amusement smile on his lips while his hands is on his pockets. Dumungaw siya ng kaunti at napatango tango.

"Ended a law student,"he compliment.

"Of course."I respond not looking at him.

"Your highlights are pretty good, how many highlighter you use every book?" he then ask.

"3, I'm only highlighting the important one. Ayoko ko na madumi tingnan ang libro ko.."I told him.

I was half stiffened when he bend over my ear and whisper.

"Almost done? Dinner is ready, I cooked for us.."aniya sa malambing na boses bago muling umayos ng tayo.

I automatically close my book and stand up, avoiding his gaze. I don't really know but I'm being uncomfortable of his way looking at me. I simply don't know why. Maybe because I'm not use of it? Or having a guy looking at me that close?

"Tara na?"anyaya ko at hinintay siyang mauna pero ilang segundo na ang nakalipas ay nanatili lang siyang nakatayo, animo'y may hinihintay.

I closed my eyes and turn my head through him."B-bakit?" I stutter and I saw the side of his lips rose up before he gigle.

"Nothing, let's eat?"siya at nilahad ang daan na animo'y hindi ko alam.

Nagkibit nalang ako, that's weird. Namangha pa ako nang makitang tatlong putahe ng ulam ang naroon.

"Anong meron?"tanong ko habang hinihila ang upuan at naupo, excited sa pagkain na hinanda.

"Well, it's a small celebration for studying hard for the midterm." he answered and my brows raisen a bit when he access the beef steak for me.

I just nodded and thank him for it, he held me the plate and we had an eye contact. He winked and I roll my eyes upon him, he ended up chuckling.

Silence filled us so I tried to fakely clear my throat to open a topic, well this is rare..I don't open topic first.

"Uhh..Kaden,"tawag atensyon ko at mabilis naman siyang nag angat ng tingin.

"Hmm, do you need anything?"he even asked.

"About don sa babayaran ko monthly, hindi paba ako magbibigay? I'm almost 2 weeks here--"I bit my lower lip when he cut my words.

"We've already discussed about this Miss, but seems you forgot. Let me remind you that you will not gonna have expenses here...it's all on me..."

"....please stop asking about it, eat now."aniya sa seryosong boses kaya napatitig ako sakanya.

Seryoso talaga siya nung sinabi niya yun? Hindi siya naawa lang nun?

"So...how was it?"he suddenly ask after a few moment, pointing the chicken adobo.

"It was good." I shortly answer.

Nagkatinginan kaming muli at napatango naman siya. Nag iwas ako ng tingin at napatikhim, kinuha ang isang basong tubig at nilagok yun.

"Let's go grocery tomorrow, we don't have much food and drinks here..and don't you need anything or something? You might want to buy something you need?" dirediretso na tanong niya.
