Tanjiro POV
They stared at me and seem to realise it. We all met in that clearing.
"Is it really you guys?" Asked Zenitsu close to tear. Mine were also blurring in as the tear began to well up. Inosuke's tears could be seen through his mask. I gave a soft nod and we all hugged and began to cry.
I found them. I had really found them again. When we were small after we met we would go on adventures. We helped each other all of the time. Then on day we had to seperate. I had to stay at home all the time. Zenitsu's parents had died so he had to move.
And Inosuke had to switch hunting grounds. We all promised to find each other when we were older. While at home I would sometimes find myself heading in the direction to the clearing. I would always head there and relive the memories we made.
But I had to stop heading there. Mom wanted me to start selling the coal so I had stopped going there entirely. I eventually forgot about it until now. We cried for a while. In each other's embrace. We stopped when we heard the door open.
We all turned our heads towards it. Muzan had walked in.
"I see you are awake Tanjiro. You have found your friends too." He spoke looking at me first then at all of us.
"Ya I have been up for a while." I replied looking down shyly. I could feel his eyes back on me.
"Well now that you are awake you need to follow me." He said turning towards the door.
"WAIT." I shouted. I realised what i just did and blushed out of embarrassment bringing my head down. he turned to me once again waiting for me to continue.
"C-Can Inosuke and Zenitsu come along to?" I asked looking back at them. He seemed to follow my gaze toward them.
"If they behave it will be fine." He spoke and motioned us to follow him. We all tailed behind him as he led us out.
"Nakime." He suddenly called out. We were then teleported it seemed to a room with 12 other demons kneeling before us. Muzan then turned to me a placed a hand on my back bring me by his side.
"I want you to welcome Tanjiro. He is to be treated with the up most respect. He will be joining us in the infinity fort." He seemed to announce.
"He will be treated as if he were my son. His friends are not to be touched." he motioned to Zenitsu and Inosuke.
"Yes Muzan-sama." They all replied similarly still bowing
"Very well. Start getting acquainted. I have to go. I'll be in my office if you need me. Nakime." he disappeared followed by the sound of a cord strum from a biwa. We were all left with silence. I broke it with a question that I had in mind.
"Why do you guys still kneel?" I asked quite confused.
"You are to be treated as Muzan-sama's son so we must respect Tanjiro-sama." Replied a Demon with pick hair.
