3rd person's POV
"And why would you want that?" Asked Muzan even though he already knew the reason.
"We want to stay with and protect jitan(Their nickname for Tanjiro)." Inosuke huffed. Even though he really wanted this, he was a bit nervous but doesn't want to show it. Zenitsu Just wants to stay with Tanjiro. He just wants to make sure he is safe. He does not want to lose him again.
"What and how would you benefit me and my son." Muzan asked a bit threatening. He will not let anyone take his son away from him. Not after what he had been through while being with those lowlife humans.
"We would make sure Tanjiro won't get hurt and we will make sure he is always happy. He is like a brother to us and we will not let something happen to him. You could give us orders and will help you with whatever you want. We'll even leave the corps if it is what you wish." Zenitsu said taking a knee in front of Muzan. Bowing his head as well.
Inosuke followed in suit right away.
"I see. " was all Muzan said. He grinned and two boney tentacles shot out of his back. They pierced their skin and they blacked out to not feel much pain.
"They will be needed indeed." Muzan spoke to himself. He had had a feeling that they were somewhat important to Tanjiro so he had kept them alive. He managed to overhear some of their conversation that they had in the room. He had now assianed them as Tanjiro's bodyguards.
Even though Muzan only spent a few moments with Tanjiro he felt something. Something he believes is love. Not Like LOVE love but more like a fatherly type of love. He had also felt the need to protect this child. Now that he deemed he was safe in this fortress he could keep calm better.
Tanjiro's POV
Inosuke and Zenitsu haven't returned. I'm a bit worried but I know they can handle themselves. Daki and her brother are nice. the lower moons seem to be distancing themselves tho. I make my way over to the one I think called themselves Rui.
"Hello...Rui right?" I asked the small white male.(no racism)
"Yes that is correct Tanjiro-sama.Is there something youwould like?" Asked said male turning around to look at me.
"I would like to spend time with you if you don't mind." I happily replied. He seemed a bit surprised at it and replied with a simple 'sure.' me and him walked to my room (which i was shown earlier.)
"Here tell me about yourself." I said after we took a seat on the floor.
"ok so-"
Later
Rui fell asleep on my bed. I don't mind at all. I now consider Rui my little brother. I tuck him in and turn to the door. I opened it only to be met with Inosuke and Zenitsu. Inosuke had his hand up like he was ready to knock on the door. they look a different. Zenitsu now had a bit of long hair and Inosuke had a black mark on his left arm and torso.(The pic above. also for zenitsu's hair just imagine like you know what aether in genshin impact has. that is what zenitsu has.)
I stared at them.
"Did. Did you guys really do this for me?" I asked tears threatening to fall. They gave me a smile and nodded. The tears escaped and Zenitsu hugged me.
"We will always be together now." Zenitsu said with a smile.
"And we will protect you now jitan" Inosuke says. Tacking us. we all fell on the floor in a hug.
