"You love me, don't you?"
His words worsen what he is about to do.
Love is Life's most dangerous game;
Yet men and women are never given the same.
Discord being strewn about is commonplace.
Especially when the challenge is a pretty face.

Or the goddess who blesses a wedding ring.

The other who quickly leaves, as if a flighty dove.
Given too freely, it crosses bounds,
Leaving you to feel as though you are running from hounds.
