Chapter 6: Lucas The Asshole

(a/n - Happy new years peeps, cheers to another shitty year. I'm only half serious lmao. I've got a long chapter in store for you today. It's a doozy so buckle up. Enjoy the chapter!)

"Woah easy there tiger, you're not Rambo" your dad says and laughs a little. You pouted and said "daddd, I will be when it comes time". He just laughed and then continued what he was doing. He looked in the fridge and you saw the police officers head sort of transformed into one of those goop monsters. Your dad reads a note on it and sighs. "We're going to have to go back into the house" he said and you nodded. When you got back in the house you went back into the goop filled basement. You passed by grandma on your way to where you were going. You had no idea what she was doing there or how she got there. You just ignored her creepiness. As you were headed down some stairs a four legged goop monster popped out of the wall and scared the shit out of you. You fell back and your dad killed it. You took a deep breath and said "killer instincts dad". Your dad laughed a little and continued on. You went back to the room where the police officer was. Half his body was overtaken with goop and his head was missing. The smell alone was enough to make you sick. There was a board behind him that read 'prove you're a real man- stick your hand down this pig's throat!'. "You're not actually gonna do that, are you?" you asked your dad. Your dad huffed and said "I guess I'm gonna have to". You looked away as your dad stuck his hand down the police officers throat, you gagged and spit up a bit. When it was over you looked back and your dad had gotten the key that had a snake on it. It would unlock the door you needed to go through. Just then Lucas's voice came over a speaker and said "that pretty little thing will help you find the two keycards you're gonna need to join the party we're havin in here. You gotta earn your way, Ethan! As for you y/n, oh I've got a special surprise for you". You now became nervous, what was he gonna do? You followed your dad out of the basement as you ran past a couple of goop guys. You passed through the room with the Moose head and your dad got some supplies in the crow room. Your dad got a cool ass grenade launcher and then you went back to the main room where there were two goops waiting for you. Your dad swiftly killed them with his shotgun and you went up to the room where the snake key went. It seemed to be the grandma's room. She was now in there. Your dad figured out a puzzle and the bed shook until it moved to the side and revealed at staircase leading down. You went down there, gun ready. The bed closed behind you and you felt dread come over you. You were lead into a room and the first thing you saw was the red keycard you needed. The first thing that hit your nose was a raunchy, throw up worthy smell. And because it was so throw up worthy you did just that. Your dad patted you on the back and said "yeah I feel you bud". After you got it all out your dad picked up the keycard and you made your way out of the room. There were goop boys by the dozen and you both just booked it back up the stairs. You rested in the main room while your dad went to get more supplies and the blue keycard. When he came back the phone rang. It was obviously Lucas. When he hung up he looked at you and said "let's go deal with Lucas's shit and then get out of here". You gave him a confident nod and followed him back through the courtyard. You took care of a goop guy that surprise attacked your dad and then he put the blue and red keycards in. When you got in there was a set of stairs you had to walk up and you could hear booming music. When you walked up you saw what looked like night glitter or something like that, it read 'let's play'. The next door, there were two chairs in front of a tv. You and your dad sat down and the tv turned on. Lucas's ugly ass face popped up and he went on a stupid monologue, saying "Ethan, E-than. Yes y/n I know you're there too. Now, Ethan, Ethan -- hold on, hold on, hold on. I got something for you. Looky, looky what I got. You know what this is for? You know what Zoe wants to do with this? She thinks this thing is special. No, Ethan, that ain't special. This -- this right here is special". He then starts ripping his finger nails off and you cringe a little. He continues by saying "you see, Ethan, not everybody wants to turn back the clock". He then turns to the side and screams at someone you can't see, "what? What, Eveline? I'm just trying to show him. I'm just trying to show him that not everybody wants to go back to how things were. Zoe's a stupid bitch! She doesn't understand that I don't wanna go back to how things were before my father found y'all. Not everybody wants to turn back the clock. So -- so Ethan, Ethan? You can, uh- you can, um, crawl around underneath that filthy, rotten house all you want looking for them ingredients, but you ain't gonna find a goddamn thing, Ethan. You wanna make that serum? Ooh, baby. You're gonna have to come through me. You hear? Well, come on, Ethan. What do you say?". The tv then explodes and you stand up. "He's crazier than the rest" you say. "Let's go get this son of a bitch" your dad says. You follow your dad through tarp filled rooms with trip wires that explode. You follow his every move trying not to set them off. You finally get to a room with a keypad and a locked grated door. There is an item box and some trip wires your dad shoots off. Your dad goes up to the keypad and then Lucas shows up behind the door and says "I know- fucking passwords, right? Why don't you try 0814" your dad goes to put it in and Lucas changes his mind and says "no-no-no-no-no! 0621. No-no-no-no-no! It's 0514. Well, come on. Take a chance. You never know". Your dad then puts in one of the passcodes but something seems fishy. It doesn't work but you notice something in the ceiling, it looks like it's going to come down. "Dad, watch out!" you scream. He jumps out of the way just as a big thing of spikes comes and swings down where he was just standing. A door then opens and you follow him through it. You keep your eyes open for trip wires and avoid any that you find. You make it to a big barn room and there are some goop guys your dad kills. He runs around and gets some supplies and then he hands you a battery that needs to go in the machine in front of you. "Here bud, why don't you do something" he says, trying to make you involved. You put it in but then it catches fire and you stumble back, covering your face. The barn then gets lit up with blue lights and Lucas comes over the speaker. He's sending down something big to fight you and you can hear it from the elevator. You whisper to your dad "dad, you go upstairs and hit him from the front. I'll hide over there and hit him from behind". Your dad nods and gives you his flamethrower, he heads up the stairs as you go and take your position. The big monster comes out of the elevator and follows your dad up the stairs. Your dad hits him with the grenade launcher and you pop out and hit him with the flamethrower. Soon enough he explodes into gross acid looking stuff. Your dad gives you a high five and then you get into the elevator and go up. You're lead to a room that has a burnt up Clancy and he has the real code on it. You saw what happened to Clancy on a video tape a while back. The room leads exactly back to the keypad. When your dad tries to open it, Lucas says that you have to put your things in the item box. After you do, the door opens and your dad goes in. You go to go in but you're grabbed from behind by Lucas and he slams your head hard against the wall and closes the door shut on your dad. You woke up to your dad shaking you and a throbbing headache. You touched the side of your head and felt a pool of blood. You rubbed your eyes and accidentally got your blood on your face. "I'm okay dad, let's just go get mom" you say and he helps you stand up. When you stand up you see a tv and it lights up. You see your mom and someone who must be Zoe. Your dad notices and says "Mia? Mia. Mia!". Zoey responds and says "she's alive". Your dad questions her "who are you? Where are you?". She responds "we're just beyond the pier outside that room -- hurry!". The tv turns and you see Lucas and it looks like he has more bullshit to spout. "Well now, Ethan!" he says. "The fuck do you want?" your dad spits back at him. "You...dead! Guess that's not in the cards. Not yet". "Lucky me" your dad says back sarcastically. "Look, unless you have any more surprises up your sleeve, I suggest you--" he begins to say but gets cut off by Lucas. "Now that would be tellin', Ethan. And I don't do spoilers" he says and then the tv cuts back off. "He's a dick" you mutter. Your dad ignores it because you're not supposed to say things like that but it's deserved in this situation. Your dad grabs the D-series head that Lucas left behind. You go outside of the doors and you find the pier. You wobble next to your dad, not only does your leg feel like it's getting infected but your head is bleeding and you think Lucas gave you a concussion. Your dad uses the crank to put the bridge up to walk on it. You walk a little ways until you get to another crank station. Your dad cranks up another pathway and when you go to move on the goop guys jump out of the water. Your dad quickly takes care of them and you continue on. When you see the door where you need to go, more of those guys jump up and you shoot them dead, tired of their shit. You walk into the door and up the stairs, where you see your mom. She looks a little out of it but she's there and she's okay. Your dad goes over to her, "Mia..". He cuts the ropes keeping her in place. As your dad cuts Zoe free and talks to her you go over to your mom and kneel in front of her. You grab her hand but she's too out of it to realize it's you. You squeeze her hand and then stand back up and walk over to your dad. Zoe creates the serum but there's only enough for two. You don't care as long as your mom gets one. Suddenly you hear a loud rumble and then a big ass octopus looking thing with a bunch of hands and legs and orange glowing eyes rips through the wall. He quickly grabs your dad and you reach for him but can't get to him. You realize that it's Jack when he tells Zoe to get her ass back to the house. Jack throws your dad onto a board and you realize that he's fucked. "You know what, no, fuck this" you say and then jump into the water. When you stand up wobbily you start unloading your bullets into Jacks glowing eyes. Jack notices you jumped in after your father and decides to just finish you then and now. Jack goes under the water and grabs your foot, he takes you and flings you all the way across the room until you slam into a shelf and it breaks on top of you. This just pisses your dad off even more and he unloads his grenades into his eyes. You're very slow to get up. You hobble over to where your dad is being held upside down and you hit Jacks last eye on his belly. He finally falls and you think it's over. You see an open door and Zoe, she says "Ethan! This way". But then Jack turns your dad around and picks him up. You hear Zoe yell "use the serum on him!". You scream back "what?!". Your dad questions her "you want me to cure him?!". Your dad hesitates but does it and it works. Jack drops him and starts to move around, he then turns to stone or something like that and crumbles away. "Y/n!?" your dad says and rushes over to you. He reached you as your body gave out on you and he caught you. He picked you up like he did when you were a little kid and you said "I told you I could be Rambo". He laughed and says "yeah but next time maybe a little warning before you throw yourself into the line of fire for me?". "Deal" you said and winced at the pain radiating through your body. "Come on. Mia's waiting for us" Zoe says as your dad follows her. When you get there you squeeze your dad's shoulder, you want him to let you down. He does and you wobble over to your mom. "Mom?" you say. She turns around and she notices your state. Tears well in her eyes and she gets on her knee and hugs you. You hug her back as tight as you can manage. A few tears fall from your eyes and you whisper "please don't leave me again". Your mom gets choked up and rubs your back soothingly. Your dad notices your body giving out on you again and picks you up in one of his arms. He sighs and says "I had to use one of them. There's only one left". Your mom gets a little frantic and says "there's only one left? There can't just be one left". "What the hell are we going to do now?" Zoe asks. Your dad looks at you and then at your mom. He takes her arm and cures her. (I know there's a choice here but this is the canon ending anyway, plus I'm doing re8 and I need Mia alive so yeah) "I'm sorry Zoe but I have a family to protect, I'll send help". Your dad gets on the boat with you and hands you to your mom. She sits you on her lap and wraps her arms around you protectively. Your dad starts the boat and Zoe responds "don't bother! There won't be anyone left to help". You close your eyes and relax into your mom's arms as you ride away. Soon enough your mom and dad have a conversation but you stay out of it. "Ethan, thank you" your mom says. "Who the hell else was I going to choose?" your dad asks surprised. "Ethan!" your mom says back shocked. "Mia, I know you've been through a lot. But we need to talk. You had something to do with all of this, didn't you? Look, I just wanna know the truth" your dad says, questioningly. "Ethan, I honestly don't remember" she says back. "Try!" your dad urges. Just then you open your eyes and see a massive ship. "Is that the boat? How the fuck did that get here?" he questions. Just then something in the water shakes the raft and you and your mom fall forward. Your dad catches you and says "you're ok. What the hell was that?". You see something come out of the water and you scream "dad?!". "What the fuck? What is that? What is that?" is the last thing you hear before you're dumped into the water and you pass out.
