The next day, it had stopped raining, and everything was back to normal. Well, as normal as you could get with summer romances, possessions, and other things in one day. Oh, and with Dipper still trying to figure out what Gwen had said to him the night before.
"Hey Mabel, do you speak French?" Dipper asked, finally going to her after no avail from anything else.
Mabel smiled. "Juste quelques-uns, Dip-Dop!"
Dipper furrowed his brow. "Okay then. Do you know what 'Je t'aime bien. Je t'aime.' means?" He left out the part with his name.
Mabel's eyes widened and her jaw dropped. "No. Way!"
"What? What does it mean?"
"Dippy has a girlfriend, Dippy has a girlfriend!" Mabel started skipping around the room, spinning at the same time.
"Huh?" Dipper asked, grabbing Mabel.
Mabel's face turned serious. "You have a girlfriend, Bro Bro."
"What? No... right?" But why would Gwen say that if she had told Dipper...
"I don't know what came over me!"... "I didn't say..."... "I just can't, okay?"... It all made sense.
"Mabel, I gotta go." Dipper said, grabbing the journal and his hat, then racing down the stairs. "I'll see you later."
