They all stepped outside.

"Alright, it's too crowded inside, so... you two wait out here, and try to stay dry under the overhang. I'll go inside and call the butler to bring the limo over." Pacifica said, as she walked inside.

Gwen walked out from under the overhang into the rain.

"Gwen- what are you doing? You'll get soaked!" Dipper said.

"I don't care!" She laughed, twirling in the puddles. "I love the rain."

"Heh. I guess I do too." Dipper stepped out and felt the cold rain fall on his face. He hurriedly put the pinetree hat back on. "So... I've been meaning to ask you more about what you wrote in the journal."

Gwen slowed her spinning until she came to a stop. "What about it?"

"I've been looking at some of the things you've discovered - and been wanting to ask a bit about how and where you found them."

"Well, I found them in New York, 'cause, you know, that's where I live. I had been looking around for monsters, because I had seen things familiar to New York here last summer. I looked around in the only forest-y part of the city, and found some of those monsters I wrote about."

Crap, is it bad I wanna kiss her? Like a few hours ago, I wanted to punch her. And now that I learned about Paz's whole thing, it seems wrong... "Wow, that's really interesting. Maybe I should visit sometime to see all those creatures."

"Yeah, I'm sure there are a lot I haven't found yet. That would be really cool."

Dipper was starstruck. Gwen was almost like him. He just stood there, his sopping wet hair in his eyes.

"I didn't show anyone the journal, because it still felt wrong that I had taken it, but at least I was able to add to some of the mysteries, right?"

"Mhm." WHAT was he DOING? He was just spacing out! I gotta do something soon. He checked inside to be sure that Paz was still busy and decided to make his move, in the cold, wet, rain.

"I had begged my parents to come back to Gravity Falls so that I could discover more mysteries, without telling them that I was going to discover mysteries. I was just so wrapped up in the idea of the supernatural that I n-"

He leaned forward and... kissed her.
