"Where are we, Sorin?" I ask, crossing my arms across my chest. "We should return to campus." I inquire as I exit his car's passenger seat. Outside, it was lightly raining, and I let my gaze wander over the trees that surrounded us.

"Follow me, and don't bother me with your questions." I follow behind him as he rolls his eyes and walks down a narrow concrete path. My gaze scans the glistening lake ahead of me; the water is incredibly clear and nearly entirely blue, and the moon reflects off the lake.

Sorin walks over to the lake's edge and takes a seat, and I follow closely, sitting beside him.
"How do you know about this place?" I ask quietly, tucking a strand of my long blonde hair behind my ear and leaning forward to play with the water with my fingers.

He bites his lower lip, almost as if he doesn't want to tell me the truth.
"I had a difficult first year here, and I used to come here to unwind and let go of my worries."

My finger tips are still toying with the warm water as I hum in return. When I notice Sorin removing his t-shirt to my left, my eyes widen slightly and I puff my cheeks out in an attempt to hide my blush.

"Would you like to take a swim in the lake?" I narrow my eyes at him as he tilts his head to the side.
"Are you serious?" I question whilst rubbing the back of my neck.

"Come on, Natalia, live a little." He chuckles as he dives into the lake, splashing water on me.

"Nita." I mutter beneath my breath. "I can't even swim, so there's no way I'm getting in there." His blue eyes look directly into mine, his wet dark hair almost covers his eyes, and his chest is exposed since he's only wearing boxers. I place my hands on my hips.

"I'll help you, or do you want to go back to campus and deal with a drunk Jiwon?" He cocks his head to the left, and I immediately begin to unbuckle my belt and unzip my jeans, pulling them down to my ankles and quickly stepping out of them, leaving me in my panties and a large black t-shirt.

"If you don't catch me, I'll drown to death." I speak cracking my knuckles as I dive into the lake, before Sorin makes a catching gesture. Sorin's arms wrap around my waist, sending shivers up my spine, although I'm not sure if it was the cold water or Sorin's contact that caused it.

I place my arms on his bare shoulders, keeping myself upright. Beads of water runs down his muscular body, and I force myself to keeping staring into his eyes.
"Can I ask you a question?" He questions softly, his thumb subtly caressing my waist. My heart behind beating out of my chest.

I nod my head slowly, not being able to speak only just noticing how close his body is to mine. A small smirk tugs at the corner of his lips.

Shit.

"Why did you and Sadie go to the bar knowing that Jiwon and me would be there?" He asks with smug but almost soft tone, I grip onto his shoulders as I feel his grip loosening on my waist.

"I don't kno-" I try to speak before I'm cut off by Sorin.

"Was it because your jealous? Did you feel envy towards Jiwon because I was giving her a chance and not you? When you left for college did you ever think of me?" He tucks a strand of my hair behind my ear, before placing his hand back onto my waist.

"Sorin-"

"Because I did, I've been kicking myself for not keeping in touch with you on a daily basis." He speaks in hushed tones into my ear.

"Sorin, we have to return to campus." "Everyone is going to be expecting us." I try to kick away from him while speaking, but his grip on my waist increases. He takes a long breath, before repositioning me on the wooden pier.

The car ride back to university was the most uncomfortable situation I've ever had in my life. There were no words nor glances exchanged. My heart stops as I glance at his watch as he maintains a concentrated gaze on the roads ahead of us.

7:27pm.

I take a deep breath as I saw our Headmaster standing in front of the school's entrance door, and we both exit his car.

"Given that you're a new student, I anticipated more from you Natalia, and nothing less from you Sorin." The headmaster taps his foot against the stone floor as he places his hands on his hips.

"Starting tomorrow, both of you will serve an entire week of detention."

"It's entirely my fault, Mr. Rodriguez. I urged her to stay with me and let me take the blame instead of Nita." Sorin's arms are crossed across his chest. I grasp his shoulder and pull him in front of me.

"Don't take the blame for me coming with you; I made the decision." I whisper he instantly looks away from me, rolling his eyes.

"Well then, Sorin detention for a week and Natalia enjoy your stay at this school." Mr Rodriguez walks back into the school.

"That was considerably easier that I thought it would be." He lets out a humourless chuckle as he walks through the glass doors.

"You think Sorin was going to kiss you!" Jiwon exclaims, taking this a lot easier I thought she was going to. She uses her hands to prop herself up on my bed.

"I don't know Jiwon, but a lot happened yesterday!" My head lands on the white pillow as I sigh. Sorin is in detention, leaving just me, Sadie, and Jiwon in the dorm room.

"Well, he was a touch tipsy, so that could have played a role." Sadie speaks while her pulling hair back into a low ponytail.

"Maybe." Jiwon hums in response to my words.

"Perhaps not." Following Jiwon's giggles, the door bursts open, revealing Sorin's figure. He runs his hands through his dark hair and uses the golden keys in his hands to lock the door.

"Perhaps what?"
