Y/N POV:

"Hey Y/N. It's been a little over a month. How are you?" She asks. She looks at me funny because she sees the hickey.

"Long story," I say.

"I've got time," She replies.

"Got pissed. Got drunk. Begged a guy to give me a hickey. He did. He left. And I wake up today with a hangover," I laugh.

"Ouch," She teases.

"How bout you? I know things aren't perfect at home."

"Eh I'm fine. Gotta work as many jobs as I can."

I look up at her sympathetically.

"Can I get four dragon rolls, three to go?" I ask.

"I'll go put that in," She smiles.

She gets up and walks over to the counter and takes a random guy's order. I just slurp down my Coke.

"Refill."

She comes over with the pitcher of Coke.

"Thanks."

"You seem lonely, L/N."

"My friend is a no-show," I chuckle sadly.

"That sucks. Here's your order," She gives me the dragon rolls.

"Thanks. But take the three to-go ones. They're for you," I pass them back to her.

"I don't need your sympathy."

"It's what friends do. Take 'em. Please," I beg.

"Fine L/N."

She grabs them back and brings it to a random room with her stuff. She comes back and gives the guy his soup. She sits down at my table again.

"Who's the bitch that let you dine alone?" Tory asks.

"LaRusso's just a friend. But I don't know if I want to be her friend anymore," I feel conflicted.

"I'm sorry about LaRusso. She probably sucks."

"Yeah... wanna hang out sometime?"
I ask.

I don't know if I should be Tory's friend, but why not try?

"Im busy with work a lot," She says.

"How about I come drive you home once your shift ends tomorrow?"

"Sure. See you tomorrow Y/N. Thanks for the food. It helps."

"Anything I can do to help I will. See you soon Tory," I put the money for the food on the table.

"That's a fifty dollar tip L/N!" She shouts at me as I go out the door.

"Yes it is Nichols!" I laugh as I walk out the door. Who would've thought that I'd find a friend in my past bully?
