-Inari

"We'll be learning chakra control." Itachi smiled
"Aniki you already taught me chakra control." Sasuke whispered.
"Than you can show off."
Sasuke shivered at Narutos breath running down his neck. "Don't do that!" He hissed.
Naruto chuckled and winked.
"Now.. I'm showing you bitches up!"

Naruto grabbed a kunai from Itachi and began to run up a tree.

"He won't be able to do it first try." Sasuke said confident.
"Oh you'd be surprised what some of the Anbu taught him when he was younger."
Sasuke looked up at Itachi confused and he pointed to the top of the tree.

Naruto stood on the kunai, one leg up with his toes on the handle. Sasuke looked almost dumbstruck.. but than his pride kicked in.
He grabbed the kunai Itachi held out and ran up a tree as well. Itachi chuckled when Sasuke threw the kunai into the bark and easily found his balance.

Mizo clenched his fists and took one of the kunais with his siblings following. He ran up a tree, determined to show off...
That was short lived when he AND Mito fell a third of the way. They groaned when they hit the ground with their backs.
Sakura cheered as she stood on the fourth branch close to the top.

"Sasuke-kun look I'm doing it!" She yelled.
"I can balance longer."
"Alright Uchiha let's go."
Lightning struck through Narutos and Sasukes eyes as Minato jumped down to stand with Itachi.

"Do you think chakra control is such a good idea to be teaching them?"
"Naruto and Sasuke already have it mastered since they had an amazing Anbu Captain to teach them.. though yes I think it's a good use they all have the same skills."
Minato looked up at Naruto and scratched his head. "I don't know what I'm going to do with Naruto."
"What do you need to do? Narutos a regular Genin with a high ambition."
"But still, the more crap he talks, the less corporation we have with the client."
Itachi shrugged. "We know what to do and there's no threat right now. I'm just nervous about that kid. Inari didn't seem fond of any of us and we could be here for a while."
Minato sighed. "I told Mebuki we'd be back in 2 weeks."
"With how much we still need to do on that bridge, I don't think so Minato."
"Well Kakashi defeated that rouge ninja, I feel like it would be fine if we left."

"He wasn't defeated."
Both jumped to see Naruto and Sasuke behind with crossed arms.
"I only knocked him out and pinned him to a tree. Once his wounds heal, he'll be after the bridge builder again... but you can leave if you want Minato, it's not like your essential to this team." Naruto smiled.
Itachi sighed. "Naruto don't say that to your father."
Naruto shrugged. "As far as I see it, I've done more work than him."
Naruto fell to the lower branch and landed on the ground swiftly.
"Can we go walk on water? Our challenge was ruined since we were eavesdropping."
Itachi chuckled and nodded. "Just don't go too far."
"I'm running into the sunset!"

Sasuke jumped down and raced Naruto to the lake. Minato scratched his head.

"They seem closer than any of the others."
Itachi smiled. "I like to think their soulmates."
"Their boys."
Itachi shrugged. "With the nine tails Naruto can conceive children."

Naruto ran onto the water and splashed Sasuke.

"Hey!" He growled.
Naruto raised his eyebrows before he was splashed.
"Hey!" He pouted.

The two began to splash each other with water while trying to trip one another.

"What are you doing?"
They looked over to see Inari standing on the dock, his arms crossed and eyes filled with hatred.
"Uh.. being children?" Naruto questionably answered.
"How can you stand on the water?"
"Chakra."
"... you're the two who came in with that crippled guy last night."
"Yeah and your the kid who stormed out like we were pests."
"You are pests. Just go home, my village can take care of themselves."
"Pfft no they can't." Naruto tied his jacket around his waist. "You need your sweet daddy to protect you."
Inari clenched his fists. "My fathers a hero!"
"Was."
Inari looked at Naruto with tears in his eyes.
"He was a hero." Sasuke looked at Naruto in disbelief. "You can't stay in the past, when you stay in the past you can never move forward and if you never move forward you can never get stronger." Naruto looked at Sasuke. "That's why you don't dwell on loved ones or worry about what's to come."

"L-like you would know!"
"Of course I would know. I'm a genius."
Naruto raised his eyebrows and Sasuke rolled his eyes.

He looked away before letting pink lace his cheeks. For a moment he had the motivation to kiss Naruto.. and just because of what he said.
Naruto walked up and grabbed Inari by the sides.

"H-hey! Hey let go! Kidnapper! He's kidnapping me!"
Naruto let go and Inari fell into the water. Sasuke snorted as he came up panting.
"You done?" Naruto questioned.
Inari grabbed his hat and put it back on. Naruto grabbed his arms and put his on the water.

Sasuke watched amused as Naruto flowed his chakra around Inari.
Inari looked down and stepped back, freaking out. He fell back under the water but Naruto caught his hat this time. Sasuke smirked.

"What are you planning to do?"
"Show him a little bit of power us shinobi have."

Naruto grabbed back onto Inari when he surfaced again.

"Standing. I'm standing on water!" Inari yelled.
"Yeah this is what I get to do." Naruto crouched to hold Inaris hand. "And this is what I do because I moved on from the past."
Inari looked at Naruto.
"It's not that easy." He complained.
"Yeah well that's where you grow and stand on water."
"You can stand on water not me!"
"But your doing it right now."
Inari looked down and huffed. "By myself."
"Well maybe you will one day.. and maybe you won't but that depends on you."

Naruto groaned before he sat down but kept Inari standing.

"Think of the past as water. You either drown under it, or you master it by standing on top of it. Life's too short for you to be waiting for someone else like your father to come around, you have to take action for yourself."
"Why do you care?" Inari grumbled.
"Because I lost my mother. Not my father he was to much of a wuss to do anything and that's the blonde man you saw last night. I know what it's like to loose someone but you can't let that stop you.. and if you wanna know, I have a severe fear of bells."
"Bells?" Inari snorted.
"Yeah bells. I hear one jingle and I go mental, ask Sasuke he's had to stop me from *cough* attacking him."
"Attacking doesn't suit half of it." Sasuke muttered.
"In short I hear one of those bells and I turn into a baby with an urge to kick you."
"Kill you." Sasuke coughed.
Naruto gave him a look.

"Fine... than what am I supposed to do?!"
"Stand up for yourself, become the next hero if you can."
Naruto poked Inaris chest.
"You just gotta grow up."
