-Lucas' point of view-
Everything was going great. Riley seemed to be really enjoying the picnic that I had made for us. It was all perfect until, Riley fell back.
Worried, I kneeled down beside her and began to shake her softly.

"Riley, Riley!" I repeated over and over again as I continued to softly shake her.
She wasn't responding. That was when I began to panic properly. I decided that the best thing to do would be to call an ambulance so that's exactly what I did. I pulled my phone out of my jacket pocket and dialled 911 but it took a while because my hands were shaking.
"Ambulance, please!" I yelled down the phone.
"Ok, ok, calm down and tell me where you are and what the problem is," the woman on the phone said.
Taking notice of what the woman said, I took a deep breath in and then I slowly let it out before answering her.
"I'm at the park near John Quincy Adams middle school," I informed the woman.
"Okay, what's the problem?" She asked.
"Well, um, I-I was having a picnic with my girlfriend on the grass and all of a sudden, she fell backwards and now she's unconscious," I stuttered.
"Right, okay. Thank you! Now the ambulance is on it's way but you're going to have to stay on the phone to me and listen to me. You have to listen to me, okay?" She asked.
"Yeah, sure, of course. I'd do anything for Riley!" I said, looking at my precious Riley.
I placed my phone on the grass next to me and put it on loudspeaker.
"Great! Okay, so is she breathing," the woman asked.
I checked. She was breathing, but not normally.
"Yes, but her breathing is very shallow and it's not very often. It's not normal!" I screamed down the phone.
"Okay. Does she have any medical problems that we should know about?" The woman fired the next question at me.
"Um, no. Well not that I know of anyway!" I replied after thinking briefly.
"Okay, that's a good thing. Please don't worry, that's a good thing," she woman reassured me.

Just then, I heard a siren and it was becoming louder and louder. It was the ambulance.
"We're over here!" I said as I waved at them so that they knew where we were. Within minutes, they saw me waving like a maniac and ran over to us.
"What's her name?" The paramedic asked.
"Riley," I answered.
Riley. Even just the thought of her name made my heart melt and gave me butterflies. But at this time, I knew that rather than just think about our love, I had to to show our love and use our love to stay strong for her. For us.

The paramedics took Riley out of my arms and put her in a stretcher. She was then took inside the ambulance.

"May I go into the ambulance with her?" I asked the paramedic.
"Yes, you may," the paramedic replied with sympathy in his eyes.

As we drove to the hospital, I held Riley's hand the whole ride there. I repeated the phrase, "everything's going to be okay, my princess, everything's going to be okay," Tears streamed down my face as I said tried to comfort my love.

Although I must have repeated that loads of times, I just didn't know if what I was saying was true. Would she be okay? Well that was a question that I did not have the answer to.
