JOSIE LOVED MATT MURDOCK.

she tells herself that, all the time. Loved him. past tense.

maybe it was some harmless-turned-devastating schoolgirl crush, but josie really, truly cared about matthew murdock. she'd give anything for him.

but that's long gone. buried in the past and below boxes and boxes of takeout, because josie is completely over it. infact, josie alister had not spoken to matt murdock in approximately 1 year and 237 days. she is living her life in hell's kitchen  — nurse on the weekdays, church volunteer on the weekends — independently. josie is paying her dues.

but the universe wants an advance. instead of buying her sins off in scheduled payments, josie is thrown into a whirlwind of guilt, remorse, and the worst all, aching memories.

"God, I hope this means you've forgiven me for the time I put a worm in sister maggie's bed. in my defense, she was so mean that day. plus, matty told me to."

a/n: okay guys i literally can't hold back from this one sorry not sorry!

by the way, my key marker (icon?) in this book will be a plus/addition sign (+). it's to reference the relationship that matt and josie had as kids — it was basic. foundational. it sets up this entire story. (not a cross, just wanna clear it up.)

anyways!! few disclaimers

1) the beautiful, gorgeous, aesthetic cover is made by none other than lxntsov  !! all credits to her she's amazing !!!

2) i don't own any gifs. all off google.

3) dark themes. abuse. death. suicide.

4) decided to try to follow season 3 plot!! if you know me, this is a big change, lol! but i'm not any good at it so we'll see how it works

5) I have no medical knowledge. No legal knowledge. Limited religious knowledge. If I am way off on something, please let me know!
