The Little Beacon (GT DNF Merman AU)

Ch 4 - First Friend

Dream was swirling around the eels and they wiggled around Dream as they looked as if they were dancing

The little Beacon was panting from the twirls and sat down, placing his hands on his tail is it dangled on the edge of the platform

"You're tired? It's alright! We give you krill and shrimp!" one eel said as Dream smiled. He shared the meal with the giant water snakes and got full

"I must go. I sense a prophesy," Dream said and swam away, waving goodbye to the eels. As he swam away from their home, he heard a voice

A female voice singing to him. He listened to the beautiful tune. He kept his eyes closed and swam in the direction of the voice

He opened them and noticed he was near the surface. The ocean was lighter in color. The voice was calling him to check the surface

"I can't! It's not safe!" he said to himself as he headed to leave, but his chest started to glow. In all these millions of years, no Beacon had ever sensed a human prophesy

He could sense it. It was calling to him. His tail was glowing as he was close to the surface. "It's calling me?" he mumbled as he was about to stick his hand out of the ocean

"BEACON!" a young male voice called as Dream jumped. He felt someone close him in. He panicked and used his tail to whip his way out

"OW!" the voice cried as Dream swam out, seeing it was a merman. "OH GOD! My apologies!" Dream said as he healed the merman's hands

"It's ok, Beacon. You're not supposed to be near the surface! A human could've spotted you!" the merman said as he noticed Dream was glowing, but it faded as they swam down, away from the surface

"Is the prophesy at the surface?" he asks as Dream shivers in fear. "My apologies, Beacon. I am Prince Sapnap from the Fire Coral Kingdom. I usually pass by here and...well...I noticed your light, and then I noticed you were getting closer the surface, and...you're beautiful!"

Sapnap wanted to change the subject. He admired Dream's tail and spun around him. Dream was shivering as he felt a little safer with the prince

The prince had a tail with red, orange, and yellow in colors. Dream knows it as the Red Flower, which is fire for them and spreads like the buds of a flower, but in a chaotic way

"I'm Dream," the little merman said shyly as Sapnap covered his mouth to contain his excitement

Sapnap: That's your name?!

Dream: Yeah?

Sapnap: So cute!

Dream: *shyly* T-Thanks

Sapnap: I never knew Beacons had a name! I thought they were supposed to be called 'Beacon'!

Dream: I prefer you call me Dream

Sapnap: Oh I will! Will you be my friend?

Dream: Y-Yeah
