Chapter 9: "You mean?"

Ken's POV

Those exact words that I cannot forget even a single day for the past 10 years. It became a broken record that keeps playing in my memory.

I cut the hug. I don't know what I did and why I did that.

"Sorry. Bumaba ka na lang, magsisimula na yung meeting. I want you to be there. I want you to take care of my hotel"

I immediately walked towards the elevator and I pulled King to join me in. I do not want to turn my back because I know she was shocked. Well, I too was shocked with myself.

"Uyyy ano yung pagyakap, Mr. Ken Chan ha?" King suddenly patted my nape.

"Tigilan mo nga ako. Mas naniniwala na akong siya si Dani. Yung sinabi niya kanina, those were the exact words na sinabi ni Dani the last fight that we had"

"Bago siya maaksidente?" he supplied the words that I still cannot mention. I just nodded.

"So may pagyakap ganon?" he continued.

"Hindi ko nga rin alam. Parang bigla akong natakot na mawala siya ulit sa akin. Ewan. Basta!"

"Sus kasi hanggang ngayon kasi mahal mo pa rin naman. So ano di mo na itutuloy ang plano mo?"

I really don't know. I'm still puzzled with myself. I shrugged my shoulders and said nothing.

"Okay, silence means yes. Kahit ano pa yang desisyon mo, susuportahan kita. Bestfriends tayo eh. Basta I just wanted you to know na boto pa rin ako sa inyong dalawa"

The board members are already waiting at the conference room. I'm just hoping to see her there.

I was about to open the door when a feminine hand grabbed it as well. I looked back.

"Oh andito na ako ha. Salamat sa pa-hug. Nainspire na ako ulit na pagpasensyahan yang ugali mo. Tara na sa loob?"

I entered first then she came after. Everyone was looking at our entrance. I whispered to her, "Galingan mo kung gusto mong hindi ako magalit sayo"
