Chapter 8: Sun's Awakening

Y/N POV

I was slightly aware that when I was sleeping, somebody else was cuddled up close to me. Rubbing my eyes with my free hand, I cleared my eyes from any blurriness and glanced to my left. Gregory still had my hoodie on and was clutching tightly onto my tank top, his face was so peaceful yet worried. I turned over and rubbed his cheek affectionately, his face soothed down into peacefulness almost instantly.

"God, this is adorable."

The moment seemed too precious to spoil, Gregory seemed like a little brother to me. I stayed there, just stroking his hair silently. My phone buzzed suddenly, I reached over to it and realized Vanessa was trying to Facetime me, I clicked the answer button and made sure the camera was facing me and Gregory. Surprisingly Vanessa was also surrounded by the rest of the Glamrock team, they all fell silent as they saw the scene. Vanessa shifted the camera over mostly to Freddy so he could see. Freddy's face turned into a gigantic smile, "I'm screenshotting that." Vanessa whispered, she then placed the camera down on her desk so everyone could see. Chica was hugging Roxy's side like she needed life support to stand up from all the cuteness she was seeing. Monty still had his arms crossed but looked like he was enjoying the moment. Gregory slightly started to stir, rubbing his head up against my chest, I looked away from the camera to him. His eyes slowly opened, waking up to the day, when he saw me looking at him with a smile, he smiled. "I didn't want you to leave..." He whispered sleepily. "Awe, I would never do that." I told him, rubbing his hair. He had noticed the phone by now, and Freddy. Freddy waved at him through the phone, Gregory waved back, "Are we going back there today?" He asked, I had to think for a minute, "Maybe." I guessed I did have a few things to do and to buy. "You should, superstar." Freddy said, I smiled. "How's Sun?" I asked, still cuddling Gregory closer, Vanessa came into view this time. "When Chica told Sun he had a little brother, he seemed happy, but he celebrated alone because he still doesn't trust himself around you." She told me, I sighed, "Stubborn." Vanessa laughed, "We'll I have a feeling Freddy will want to call you throughout the day." She joked, Freddy turned his head sheepishly, "Let me guess, he's the reason you're calling right now." I asked, giggling myself. Freddy looked down, even more, Gregory laughed this time. "Talk to you later then! Bye Gregory!" Vanessa said, we both waved as they ended the call. "Want some breakfast?" I asked Gregory, he nodded. We both got off the bed and exited the bedroom heading straight for the kitchen. I paused, remembering my mother, and what happened last night. "What are you hungry for?" I asked Gregory, as we walked into the kitchen. "I don't know..." He shrugged, we were holding hands. I looked up and tensed, my mother was there, making something. "I already have breakfast covered, you two go sit down at the table ok?" She said over her shoulder. I was bewildered, I had slapped her yesterday and now she was making us breakfast. "You slept past 1 Y/N." She told me, still looking at whatever she was making. I glanced at the clock and gasped, it was 3 in the afternoon, "Oh my stars." I whispered, Gregory laughed. He led me over to our table, waking me up from my temporary surprise attack. I sat down while Gregory sat next to me, Dad didn't seem to be here which was odd. I pulled out my phone and checked to see if he had texted me anything, I sighed when I realized he had just run to the store. "What would you like to do today?" I asked Gregory, he had to pause to think for a moment, "I just really want to see Freddy." He admitted, I laughed, "Me too." I admitted as well, slightly blushing at the fact. Mom had turned around and I realized she had been making sausage. "Freddy? Isn't that the bear animatronic at the pizzaplex?" She asked, I nodded, trying not to look at her face. Gregory looked at my mom, trying to figure out what was happening, I had told him that she would freak out. "Yes," I told her, tickling Gregory on the stomach playfully. She nodded and got out plates, placed the sausage onto them, and then walked over and placed them in front of us. I quietly said thank you and began eating, Gregory looked at them curiously. "It's ok, these are good, trust me." I told him, he still seemed hesitant, but in no time he was eating just as happy as I was. We finished and said thank you again to my mom, dad was home at this point and I ran out to help him bring groceries in. "Hey! Look who's awake!" Dad joked as I met him outside, I rolled my eyes but laughed, "Hello Gregory." My dad greeted Gregory, hung onto my shirt. "Wanna help us unload? I asked him, patting his head, he nodded. We all grabbed bags out of the car and headed towards the door, dad was trying to talk to Gregory, who was slowly coming out of his shell. Dad seemed pretty cheerful like always when we put the bags down onto the counter, I dug through them and smiled when I saw he had gotten me mini boba cans and my favorite snack. I popped open the can and took a sip, sighing gratefully at the flavor, I put them in my room with all my other snacks. I came back to the kitchen and laughed when I saw dad struggling to explain to Gregory what a car motor is. Then again, dad did love fixing cars so this must have been amazing for him to talk about. Mom was smiling at herself, I glanced and noticed the slap mark had a patch over it, I winced. "You know, one of these days we should go to the pizzaplex just for once, go watch one of those shows." Dad suggested, "I mean we could, but I need a few days outside of that place for my sake." I joked, dad smiled, Gregory ran over to me for a hug. "He could be your little brother." Mom joked, I laughed, Gregory hugged me tighter. "I think today I'm gonna go buy some new clothes." I said, tickling Gregory again, "Can I please go with you?" Gregory pleaded, I had to think for a minute, "Sure, we might stop by to see Freddy too." I said, getting up to change into something different, Gregory followed me back to my room. "Let's change you into something better." I told him, pulling out some of the new clothes we got him, once again, Gregory wanted to wear one of my hoodies. He changed then I went into the bathroom to change, I came back out to see Gregory waiting for me. I grabbed my wallet and phone and headed out the door with him, the fresh afternoon air woke me enough to feel ten times better. We got back in my car and headed out of the driveway, "Want to listen to music?" I asked, my hand inching towards the volume dial. "Why not? Haven't heard music in a loonnngggg time." He said, I laughed before turning up the music. We were both jamming out when I turned into the mall, Gregory was still singing to the song so I waited for it to finish before turning off the music. The last note ended and I shut off the car, Gregory got out of the car in a rush of excitement, I locked the car and took his hand. The mall wasn't as busy as usual which made me feel a lot easier, Gregory got a chance to look around as we continued into the mall. We headed into Hot Topic first, I wanted to pick out a few new t-shirts and jewelry. I just made sure to keep Gregory away from anything not for his age or any bad words. I spotted a few t-shirts with my favorite aesthetic and what was better, they were F/C. I grabbed them along with a few black ones before heading over to the jewelry, Gregory had been staring at a set of earrings for a while. "What have you been looking at for the last few minutes?" I asked, crouching down next to him. It was the exact ear pierce Freddy wore, "Oh wow! I didn't know they sold those!" I said, but then paused, an idea had come into my head. "Gregory, are you afraid of needles?" I asked, he shrugged, "Depends on where it goes." He told me, I nodded, before grabbing two of the earpieces. I grabbed another bracelet, earrings, and a necklace before heading to the register. Gregory found a cute sticker with a mushroom on it, so I got it for him, feeling it was only fair. We walked out of the store into the piercing shop next door, Gregory seemed confused when we both walked in. "Hello, how may I help you today?" The lady at the front desk asked, "Does anyone here have any time for two mid helix piercings?" I asked, (In case you guys don't know what a mid helix piercing is, I have a link to a picture at the end of the chapter.) The lady walked into the back of the shop and came back out, "Yes actually, Y/N, he's been waiting to see you for a long time." The lady told me, I smiled, I came in here quite a lot, piercing my ears was a rare habit of mine. She led us back to the room, where I was met with a familiar face. "Hey, Jack! Long time no see!" I greeted, taking Gregory's hand, he looked a little nervous. "Hey! Y/N! Welcome back! Who's this little guy?" Jack asked, "This is Gregory, he's getting a piercing with me today." I explained, Gregory looked up at me in surprise. "Is that ok with you? I thought it would be cute to surprise Freddy." I told Gregory, "Oh! I like that!" He said, I chuckled. "Alright then, do you want Y/N to go first?" Jack asked, Gregory, nodded, this was his first piercing after all. I went over and sat down on the bed, laying down while Jack measured, he dotted a point on my left ear then rolled his chair back over to grab the needle. "Do you have a preferred earring?" Jack asked, "Gregory, can you open the bag and get the earpiece please." I asked him, I heard plastic ruffle and then saw Gregory's hand give Jack the earring. "This looks familiar... is this the earpiece Glamrock Freddy wears?" Jack asked, preparing to pierce my ear, "Yeah actually, I and Gregory thought it was a cool idea." I told him, "Sounds exciting, do you work there?" He asked, wiping off the needle with alcohol. "Yeah, I believe I have my next shift tomorrow." I said, Jack came back to the bed and held the needle over the desired spot. My eyes shut tight as the needle went through, but it was over in a few seconds, Jack gently inserted the red earring. "All done!" He said, I laughed, getting up and walking over to the mirror, it looked pretty nice. "Ok Gregory, your turn." I told him, he looked nervous, "Hey it's ok, I'm right here." I told Gregory, leading him over to the bed, he laid down but clung to my hand. "Would you like to go see Freddy after this? To show him?" I asked, trying to get his mind off of the piercing. He nodded with his lips tight, Jack wheeled back over, measured, dotted, and brought over the needle. "Ok, 3... 2... 1... Done!" Jack said as the needle had gone in and out, the piercing was done. Gregory relaxed and waited for Jack to put the earring in, the earring went in just fine. I helped Gregory up so he could look in the mirror, he seemed pretty happy, I thanked Jack before walking out to pay. Gregory followed me with the bags, I took them from him, glad he remembered. The price wasn't that much, and I was able to pay for it without wincing. I thanked the lady and Jack again before heading out. "What's that?!" Gregory asked, pointing at a peculiar shop. "That place sells swords." I told him, I had been there before, it was pretty cool, the swords and scythe's looked amazing. Gregory ran off to the store, "Gregory!" I yelled, racing after him, he was already staring at a particular sword on the wall. "You can't run away from me like that, ok?" I gasped, trying to catch my breath, he nodded, not looking away from the sword, I looked up as well. The sword looked pretty cool, black with glowing orange, and a dragon at the hilt. "Looks pretty cool." I commented, Gregory nodded, "Maybe if you save up enough money you can get it." I told him, taking his hand. He pouted, "Aww Gregory... Maybe if you ask my dad ok?" I told him, being heartbroken at the fact he was upset. His mood brightened and we continued into the mall, we stopped to get more boba, and then headed back to the car. "Alright! Pizzaplex it is!" I said, excited to head over there myself. Gregory cheered as we drove on, and banged his head to the music. When we arrived at the pizzaplex, I grabbed my new security badge and keys. Gregory practically bounced as we went in through the staff door, the noise of the busy pizzaplex met us as we entered. "Look at that! Looks like Freddy is performing!" I exclaimed to Gregory, I picked him up and walked as fast as I could to the stage area. Flashing lights with crowds welcomed us as we entered through the large doors, Freddy was already singing, I set Gregory down on a nearby table so we could watch everything. Roxy, Chica, and Monty were jamming on their guitars, rocking pretty hard to the beat of the music. Freddy was moving on the stage as well, touching backs with Monty, then everyone else. I found his voice pretty amazing to listen to like this, Freddy was still singing on stage, but his eyes were looking around at the crowd. His blue eyes met mine for a second, before darting back to them, he seemed surprised, but his singing didn't waver. He reached up and waved happily, I and Gregory waved back, I turned my seat around fully so I could see the show fully. Freddy seemed to realize something, he was still singing perfectly of course, but he touched his earring while looking at me. I smiled and touched my new one as well, Gregory did the same. Freddy slightly laughed but then focused back on singing, me and Gregory continued to enjoy the music, the song was quite mind-blowing. I couldn't put a name to it but it was one that I could have had on lope for hours. "Gregory, please stay right here, ok?" I told him, making it very important that he stay there. Gregory gave me a reassuring nod and I dashed off towards the daycare, running as fast as possible to get through those doors and to the daycare area. Parents were sitting in the sitting area above the daycare near the gigantic gold statue of Moon and Sun. I could faintly hear Sun from here, I rushed down the flight of stairs with a few curious glances from the parents. I located the gigantic wooden doors and pushed them open, just enough so I could slip through but no kids could run out. Sun was happily playing with stuffed animals with the children, but he didn't seem as bright as before. The daycare attendant at the security desk had noticed me, I pulled out my security badge, they relaxed and went back to the computer. Slowly, I approached Sun, trying not to startle anyone. Children ran around my feet like it was nothing, Sun looked up and saw me, he froze, in here he couldn't yell or make any violent move. I smiled.
