"I sure love the Daycare!" I exclaimed happily as I once again slid down the slide. I emerged from the ball pit and, unsurprisingly, was greeted by Sun.

"Hello Sunshine! How are you today?"
"I'm great thanks! I'm really happy to be here, as usual!"
"Good..." Sun's voice became distorted, a demonic ringing echoing in my ears. The Daycare melted away, all except the ball pit. As I turned back to Sun, his face was melted, his eyes blood red. I tried to scream, but nothing came out.
"Nighty night Sunnnnnshinnnneeee!!!!" Sun laughed manically. I felt tears roll down my cheeks, and as he grabbed hold of me, I lost control of my limbs. Before I knew it, he threw me into the ball pit. I sank slowly, gasping for air. I went deeper and deeper, but it kept going. My chest tightened, and once again I tried to scream, but the ball pit balls filled my mouth as soon as I tried to open it. I turned to my right; a set of piercing red eyes stared deep into my soul. A muffled voice from its direction could be heard, but I couldn't make out any specific words.

"Y/N?!!! Wake up! Wake up!"

I bolted upright. The room was pitch black, other than a pair of comforting, glowing eyes. They were filled with concern. Sweat dripped down my face, along with a few tears. I tried as hard as I could to control my breathing, but it became worse the more I tried.

"I need you to take a deep breath in, and out again. Can you do that for me Starshine?" Moon's gentle voice, as well as his rhythmic breathing, calmed me down almost instantly. I turned to face him, and tears continued to spill uncontrollably from my eyes.
"Do you... need anything?" He asked gently. I thought for a minute, which was harder than I thought it'd be due to my brain still calming down. I just whimpered, and crawled over into his lap and lay down.

I could feel him heat up as I curled up in his arms. He held me tight, making sure to not let go. I looked up at him. He looked down at me, and gave me a kind smile. "Will you be able to go back to sleep Y/N?"
I shook my head, to which he nodded.
"Alright. Do you want me to find someone to take you outside for a minute?"
"No. I want to stay here with you." His eyes widened and his smile did too.
"Would you like me to sing you a lullaby?"
I nodded, and snuggled in closer to his arms, and he gladly cuddled back.
His voice was soft like a summer evening, and I imagined it as the soft breeze rustling the leaves in a calming way. I was amazed at how beautiful his voice could be. I wanted to stay like this forever, me in his arms, snuggling up against his warmth, his tender voice resting my mind. But at some point, I must have fallen back to sleep, because the next time I blinked, all the lights were on and I was still huddled in the nap time corner.

I finally stood up after properly waking up and went to find Sun. I knew it was just a nightmare, and I knew Sun would never do that. He's really nice and I know him. That's not what he'd do. Ever.

"Sun?" I asked after finding him sat alone. I crawled into his lap, just like I did with Moon, and hugged him. I just really wanted him to be happy, and he looked quite sad when I walked over.
"You're clingy today! Is anything wrong? Oh yes I'm sorry! Are you feeling better now? I know nightmares can be scary," he spoke kindly. "But they're not real, are they! I'm always going to be here Sunshine, so please, if you get scared, tell me and I'll help right away!"
"Thank you Sun." I smiled. "I don't think I'm scared anymore-"
"Y/N! HURRY UP WE'RE GOING TO BE LATE!"
"I'm glad you're okay now Sunshine. I hope you don't feel scared later! And if you do, remember I'll be right here." He pointed at where I supposed my heart was. I squeezed his leg one last time and ran over to my parents.

"Have a safe journey home!"
