"Have you chosen a game yet??" Sun was trying desperately to not sound bored out of his mind, which, unlucky for him, I could notice. I felt a stab of guilt for being so slow, and decided to pick the one that my hand landed on.
"Hmm..." I sighed, looking at the box which was labelled 'Monopoly'. I'd only played that once a few years ago on Christmas Day, and after that fiasco, I had decided that I'd never play it again. Although, I wasn't with my family right now. Sun could also be competitive, but he'd never be as bad as mum. I gently lifted the box onto the table, and to my surprise, Sun grinned mischievously.
"Now we're talking!" He giggled. I smiled nervously, unaware of the absolute madness that was about to unfold.

"I want to be the dog!" I pointed at the small metal dog lying in the box. Sun paused for a moment.
"... I was going to be the dog..." he looked off into the distance. I felt really guilty for taking the dog piece, but I knew he wouldn't argue with me. He instead chose the little hat. He then tried to place it on top of one of his sun rays. I snickered at his new accessory as he grinned at me.
"How do ya do?" He put on a silly accent and bowed his little hat, which caused me to giggle even more. I honestly wouldn't have minded just sitting there and watching Sun have fun with the hat. But today was all about playing games, and I wasn't about to let an opportunity to win be wasted!

I went first, as I was the youngest (or at least we assumed I was). Sun said he would be the banker, and I didn't argue because I didn't even know how to be the banker. He must have played before, I figured. Before long, the game had begun, and we were both already tense after about ten minutes.

My turn came around again, and unbeknownst to me, I would regret ever rolling that dice.
"Six!" I grinned excitedly. I loved when I got to move further than Sun (although that wasn't the point of the game). I moved my dog and I eventually landed on a chance card. Sun gasped and slowly handed me a card. He said it was for dramatic effect.
I gently turned the card around, and as the words registered in my mind, my heart sank.
"You okay Sunshine? You're looking a bit pale..." I could hear his genuine concern as he turned to face me. I couldn't speak; shock had taken over me, and try as I might, I just couldn't do anything. It read: "Go to jail. Go directly to jail. Do not pass GO. Do not collect 200 M's.

I helplessly rested my card on the table and let Sun read it. I could tell he was trying his best to be upset for me, but I knew he was secretly relieved.
"Awwww I'm so sorry Sunshine!" He gave me a small hug. I sighed in defeat, knowing full well that I could hardly win now...
"I have a proposal to make," Sun began, snapping me out of my monotone state. "What if you pay me 500 M's, and I'll let you out? A sort of bail, if you will."
"What's a 'bail'?"
Sun laughed nervously as I sat there in confusion.
"It means you pay to get out of jail."

I felt my heart lift and a new found hope flourish within me. I thought that he was joking!
"Oh yes please then!" I grinned madly, and right as I looked down at all my money, I realised I was completely and utterly broke.
"Oh no..." I sighed once again, this time feeling tears threatening to spill from my eyes.
"I...I'm... I don't have enough money..." I whispered in despair. His sorry look felt genuine to me, and I let him give me a big hug.
"It's just a game, Sunshine. I'm letting you off easy: it's Moon you've got to fear in terms of Monopoly-"
"Then can I see if I can win against him? Not even in Monopoly, just anything!"
He gave it some thought, and after a minute looked back over to me.
"Okay, but let's just say I won this game." My attention turned to his pile of money. He could probably afford to buy every property on the board with how much he had! I nodded sadly and began sorting out the tiny amount of money I had left.

Overall, it took us about 30 minutes to finish packing away, and by then it was already around nap time.
"Okay then, my little rays of Sunshine," Sun began cheerily, summoning everyone over to the nap time area. "It's nap time, which means Moon time!"
Some of the kids' faces lit up as Moon was mentioned. He had become a favourite among the younger ones, and I didn't blame them - his lullabies were so gentle it could send even a grown up to sleep.
"So make sure to be on your best behaviour for Mr Moon!"
We all nodded and he headed to the light switch.
"Good night everyone!"
