Greta - The Ghost

Chapter 3 - Carter and Greta missing

Suddenly his phone fell down from his hands and searching on the ground for it by bending down,

"Carter, why don't you call anyone for help us, if you have phone in your hands?", Greta asked silently

"There will be no signal here, we will not be able to call anyone until we cross this forest", "Don't you know about this as you said you travel on this way daily ?" Carter asked

"Till now I didn't had the need to call nor take out of the phone while I was in driving, so I don't know about this and we are new to this city too " Greta said

When he leans over to pick up the phone that fell down from his hand, suddenly something goes fast from her side, suddenly she erupted, she remains motionless due to fear. He stood up, looks at her and confused at her face in that darkness too.

"Greta, what happened, Why are you scared again ? Carter asked

"Hmmm, haaaa, that was . . . that was . . . . something popped out of my side very quickly and I could not able to see it but I could sense it " Greta said

Carter faced his phone light towards the road to see what is there next to them, the two become terrified at once, again the same shape moving forward very quickly towards them....

The two lost their consciousness as if something is fallaciousness . . . . .

Slowly the Sun rises, Carter's house has a lot of fun with a flurry of sparrows, her mother wakes up and asks his sister, "where is Carter ?", as his sister studied till middle of the night, known about his arrival . .

She replied, "I don't know, he did not came until I woke up mother "

His mother was very upset and asked his sister to call him . . . . But . . . the phone was not reachable. She knows Carter would be never late coming to home, if so he makes a call. She was very frightened and she asked his sister to call Samuel . . . .

"Samuel Bro, it's me Ana, Carter did not came home last night, did you know anything about it, did he informed you about this ?, Carter sister asked

"What ?, he had not reached home till now ?" !! Samuel exclaimed

"No bro, mother is bothering a lot about him " Ana said

"Yesterday the project was not completed yet and the boss was shouting on him, so he decided to stay over there and complete it and decided to move from there. I know only till that much " Samuel said

Samuel's house was little nearer to Carter's house, so he said " wait I am coming to your house, you'll just be calm ", he said and he ended the call . . .

Samuel reached Carter's home as soon as possible and inquired his mother and sister about the situation . . The two are crying that Carter had not came home...

"Please don't cry, may be he slept in the office itself probably as it became too late last night , I will call him wait " Samuel said

"Bro, I already called him, but his phone is not reachable " Ana said

"Okay then I will call the office phone and find out the situation " Samuel said

He calls the office but no one lifted . . .

"No one lifting the call, probably no one reached the office, I will get ready and go to office to find out what happened last night and I will be back as soon as possible, you both don't worry, stay strong " Samuel said

Samuel gets ready very quickly, starts his bike and moved towards the office. The forest started when he goes a little distance, but there is no danger at all in the morning until the clock hits 12 . . .

After traveling for an hour, He enters into the middle of the forest, there Carter's bike appears in the distance visible to his eyes. Going closer, he looks around whether he would be able to see Carter somewhere near to the scene.

But he could find him . . .

From there, Samuel tries to call Carter mother to inform the situation, but the call did not connect as there is no signal in his mobile. He returned Carter's home and said to Carter's mother that, we should give Police complaint on his disappearance.

They all moved to the police station immediately together and met Inspector who is sitting in his cabin and working seriously . .

"Sir my friend Carter is missing since yesterday night", Samuel said by reaching towards him

" who is your friend, what is he doing, where did he missed and what is his name . . first tell me who are you ", Inspector asked

" So sorry sir, we are in hurry and forgot to say these to you ", Samuel said

" It's ok, I could understand your problem, give me the details about him and you all can leave from now, we will go to the scene and investigate it for further evidence, and the next time you visit over here, don't bring the ladies with you, because it's a police station and not safe for the, " Inspector said

Everyone goes home, whose mind is not right, everyone is worried about Carter.

Samuel calls the inspector, as his mind does not accept, "Sir, I might as well be there while you investigate the Scene ?"

The Inspector asks, "Why ?, don't you have belief on us ? "

"Nothing like that sir, he is one of my thickest and only friend, we both are like brothers, I'm so scared of what's going on, so I am asking you this favour sir" Samuel requested him

The Inspector said, " Ok ",

"When are you going Sir to the crime scene ?" Samuel asked

"In about half an hour ", Inspector said

"Ok Sir, I will be there in about half an hour " Samuel said

Inspector and the two other constables approached the scene and started investigating the bike where it was parked. The places that are there are being looked at very carefully, In the meanwhile Samuel arrives there and heading towards Inspector. "Good Morning Sir",

"Good Morning", he replied.

"Did you found anything mysterious sir ?", Samuel asked

"Not yet, started just now, if you want, then you too can start searching here, if you found anything suspicious inform us immediately ", says Inspector.

Everyone there are busy carefully observing the surroundings. But found no clues. Samuel moves little forward and observes a dead body appears in the left side of the road, immediately he informed the team, Inspector reached to that place and carefully watched it and said, " it was an animal dead body, somehow other animals might kill it, search for anything else ", . . . . says and left the place to observe anything interesting . . .

Samuel moved a little further while thinking in his mind that, "might be this is the work of the demons here, What did the demon done to Carter? is he safe ?, I am much worried about him after seeing his bike here ",

Moving little further, A large tree appeared, it was so terrible by day itself, yet how it would have been at night though, The banyan tree is like the hair of a ghost whose wings are broken in some places looks drearily . . . .

There he accidentally saw the phone in the bushes of that banyan tree. When he closely observed, found that it was Carter's phone. He immediately called the team, and gathered the phone with gloves wearing on hands and saved it on a sealed cover, so that no one finger prints appear on it . . . .

From there they called the Crime Branch, they arrived at the scene in the mid day and started investigating the scene thoroughly and collected the sufficient clues, but they have not revealed those for Samuel, even he asked for it . . . .

He was thinking that, "It's definitely a ghost, I am damn sure it was done something to Carter and I am not able to guess whether he is alive or not too ?", he cried out dropping tears from his eyes . . . .

"Now you go home, as the crime branch arrived here, they will not let you here, while they were in investigation, please try to understand ", Inspector said

Then he said, ok and left the place and moved towards his home . . . .
