Lauren's pov
It's been a week since I met my soulmate and I still haven't saw her again, we had to talk she was 5 years younger than me and was only 18.
I was at work marking some papers when my door knocked, I look up.
"Come in" I say, the door opened and the head teacher came in
"Mr Simon, how are you?" I ask, he nods
"Good good, how have you been getting on ms Jauregui?" He asked, I nod
"It's been going well" I say, he nods
"Good, as you know our music teacher has been let go due to some...inappropriate tasks they did at work" he said, I nod.
"Yes" I say, he looks at me
"In your interview you said you worked at a music store when you were 17" he said, I nod
"I did" I say, he nods
"So you know a few things about music" he said, I nod
"I do" I say, he smiles
"How would you like to be our new music teacher?" He asked, I smile wide
"I would love too but what about English?" I ask, he nods
"Would you be able to work 2 classes?" He asked, I smile
"I would sure try" I say, he nods
"Then, you can do both of course there will be a pay rise for you for working 2 classes" he said, I smile wide.
"That's amazing thank you mr Simon" i say, he nods
"It's alright, you can work English tomorrow I'll email you everything you'll need" he said, I smile thanking him and he leaves.
Amazing I just got a pay rise, I think to myself that's something to tell mani at lunch.
Finally it's lunch, I go to the teachers room and go sit with mani.
"Hi, I have good news" I say, she nods
"You find her?" Mani asked, i shook my head and sigh
"No, I have not found her...but I did get a pay rise" I say, mani frowns
"You've worked here for a week and got a pay rise? What did you do fuck the head teacher?" She mumbled quietly, I make a gross face.
"Ew no, he just offered me the music position on top of my English one so I'm working 2 classes" I say, she nods.
"That's a shit tone of work for you, when do you
Start?" She asked
"Tomorrow" I say, she nods
"So back to your soulmate did you get anything?" She asked, i sigh.
"no mani I haven't" I say, she nods
"I wish I did, I need to talk to her" I say, mani nods
"That Camila Cabello girl is becoming a handful, she keeps texting in class, talking to everyone, she keeps going on about her soulmate...I'm this close to kicking her out of my class" I hear, I sigh.
"Some kids right" mani said, I nod
"Yeh" I mumble and eat
I was at home marking papers and doing work I could from home when I get the email about music class.

"Karla?" I mumble, I click on the student name and go wide eyed at the student picture
"Holy shit" I say, I grab my phone and call Normani
"Hey" mani said
"My soulmate is my student" I say
"What?" Mani said
"Mani, my soulmate is my student" I repeat
"Well shit but at least now you can talk to her" mani said, I sigh
"Yeh, not that the issue now is that my soulmate is a fucking high school Student..my student" I say
"Well, yes there is that but again Lauren, there's no rules about you needing to date them right away" mani said.
"But, when she leaves high school how will I find her again mani?" I ask
"I don't know Lauren, just be careful whatever you do" she said
"I'm not going to fuck my student mani" I say
"Well, she is your soulmate"
"A minor! She is a minor!" I say
"No shes not"
"She basically is"
"But she's not"
"She is my student"
"Yes but she is your soulmate" I groan
"Whatever I have paperwork to do, I'll see you tomorrow" I say
"You know I'm right, bye Laur"
"Bye" I hang up and sigh
"Fuck sake!" I whine and put my head in my hands
