"And now, we are down to our last two finalists for our Science Quiz Bee. Give Ravenwood University and Forthhill Academy a round of applause, everyone!" The emcee announced it on the microphone.

Kaagad nagpalaklapakan ang mga manunuod nang makatuntong kami sa stage. Our school was able to win against three universities that we competed against earlier. The last round between us and the bright students of Forthwill is going to be tough. I couldn't believe that I would be able to compete with the students that I had competed with before when I was at primary level.

Me, Ezra, and Kyle are now in front of a long table with a buzzer on top. Katapat ko si Yadiel na nasa kabilang panel table at ang mga kapwa niya estudyante na pamilyar sa akin. Binigyan ko nang matamis na ngiti sina Manang Fe at Mang Noel na nakaupo sa front seat.

"Ghorls, kahit anong mangyari, manalo man o matalo, tandaan niyong proud ako... sa ating lahat." Kyle mumbled while panting heavily.

Ezra held Kyle's trembling hand. "Yes, so don't feel pressured. Let's just enjoy this moment like Levi, who's admiring the face of one of our opponents."

Napatingin naman ako kay Levi na nasa baba ng stage habang kumukuha ng litrato ni Yadiel. Nakalimutan yata niyang kami ang dapat niyang suportahan. Umiling nalang ako at napabalikwas nung magsalita ang host.

"Before we get started, I would like to congratulate our last two finalists who made it this far. Both of your schools must be very proud of all of you. Whoever wins in this round will be our overall district champion this year and will receive our Triumpt Trophy and ten thousand pesos cash per participant. Setting aside those prices, winning this quiz bee will also bring honor to your school, so I want you guys to do your best."

Nagsimula akong makaramdam ng kaba. Huminga ako nang malalim at taimtim na humihiling na sana'y maganda ang maging resulta ng laban. We all know how much pressure we put on ourselves to make it this far, and I don't want those efforts to go to waste. 

 
"What is the term refers to the study of tissues?" Unang tanong ng host.

Mabilis na pumindot ng buzzer si Kyle. "Histology!"

The host cleared his throat. "Histology is correct. 10 points goes to Ravenwood University! "

The school that first gets 100 points will be the winner of the quiz bee. We defeated three schools earlier, so I already felt a little exhausted when the last round began. Forthhill Academy won last year and they are aiming to win again this year, which I don't want to happen.

"Name the English physicist who discovered electromagnetic induction?" The emcee asked in an excited tone. 

Mabilis kong pinindot ang buzzer pero naunahan ako ni Yadiel. "Michael Faraday, is the answer." He confidently uttered.

Naghiyawan ang mga ilang manunuod dahil tama ang sagot niya. Nakita ko ang talim na tingin ni Ezra kay Yadiel nung ngumisi ito sa amin. Hinawakan ko ang kamay ni Ezra para siya'y pakalmahin.

"Stratosphere!" Ezra answered when the host asked about the location of the ozone layer in the atmosphere.

Our school and Fortwill academy is tie after the host threw bunches of questions. Nangangatog ang aking kamay sa sobrang kaba at humihiling na sana'y sa amin mapunta ang huling puntos. Dumilim ang buong paligid at ang tanging sa direksyon ng mga manlalaro nakatapat ang ilaw na nanggagaling sa itaas.
