Derek walked up to his house with his hand linked loosely with Meredith's as they stopped in front of his front door.

"Thank you for tonight." Meredith smiled as she swung their hands back and forth before stepping closer to him, their lips inches from one another's.

"You're welcome." His hand moved up to run through her hair before coming back to cup her face. "I was glad I was able to steal you away for a night, it's been impossible to sort anything with your shifts lately."

"I know." Meredith sighed. "I'm sorry, I am trying to work less but it's just seems everyone needs surgery lately... and why are you laughing?" She frowned when she saw him chuckling lightly.

"Nothing, you just tend to get carried away and ramble when you're nervous or apologising. It's cute, honestly." He laughed when she slapped his hand away from her face and crossed her arms over her chest. "Mer, come on, I was only joking."

Derek reached out and wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her in swiftly to his chest causing her to gasp slightly as her hands moved to rest on his chest.

"Stay with me tonight." Derek whispered huskily as he leaned in to kiss down her neck.

"Der...I can't, we can't." She gasped as she leaned into his touch. They both knew it was a long time coming now and Meredith appreciated how patient Derek was being but she knew if she stayed tonight then there would be no holding back.

"You can, Emily isn't here. She's staying at my parents tonight, so stay." He kissed her neck once more before pulling back to look into her eyes. "Please."

Meredith bit her lower lip and shook her head when she saw Derek smirking at her, knowing she wouldn't be able to say no.

"I hate you." She laughed as he pulled out of her arms and held the door open for her.

"Now we both know that's a lie." He said as he helped out of her coat before hanging it for her. "Wine?"

"Would love one." Meredith smiled as she slipped her shoes off before following Derek into the kitchen. "So I've just thought..."

"What?" Derek quickly glanced up from the glasses before looking back down. "What's up?"

"Well, if I stay here tonight, I have no clothes, well I only have what I'm wearing right now." She said pointing up and down her body. "Jeans aren't exactly comfortable to sleep in."

"Who says you need clothes?" He winked as he passed her glass a wine before taking a sip of his own. "Relax, I can dig you one of mine tops out and you can sleep in that."

"Hmm." Meredith sighed more to herself as she looked at Derek over the top of her glass as she took her own.

Derek couldn't help but watch at how her tongue darted over her lips as she lowered her glass. Without even thinking about he placed his glass down before walking over to Meredith and taking her into his arms and pressing his lips to hers passionately. He smiled as she gasped at the force of her lips before she stumbled slightly.

"You know I think I'm going to head up." Derek yawned. "Been a long day."

He couldn't help but laugh at Meredith's shocked expression as he just left her there after that kiss.

"Uh..." Meredith gasped as she was suddenly left alone, her craving for Derek elevated even more now.

Deciding not to waste anymore time, she placed her own glass down before following him up the stairs. Walking over, she approached his bedroom door as she leaned on the frame and watched him dig through his draws. His top was now abandoned leaving his toned back on full display.
