it took another several months but the moment the doctor got his hands on the prototype designs for the the shiranui 2nd phase 3 and immediately got to work of course this was heavily modified to utilize of the knowledge including test systems he got from his tests with the EVAs once done he had five units he of course named after the franxx they were replacing they were after all using the franxx system for piloting he also had five takemikazuchi units complete but they did not perform as well as the shiranui units
"sir we are getting distress call" misato said
"hmm from where" i asked and she told me
"yukon base has apparently been invaded by a terrorist force, apparently they found a means of making the soviet esper duo the scarlet twins go on a rampage" misato said
"hmm alright, we'll dance with them then" i said
"yes sir" she replied
"sir if i may" meiya asked
"go ahead meiya this isn't a military group speak your mind" i said
"right, i believe it would be best if only the delphinium entered the battle, take my squad as your back up" meiya said
"you think squad 13 will raise warning bells" i asked she nodded
"alright, done get to your units we'll sortie in ten minutes" i said
"huh glad i'm already in suit" ichigo said

"sakura i want you on stand by with the squad i don't we'll need you but just in case" i said
"aye sir" she said as we mounted, the shiranui delphinium and me and ichigo connected the connection itself was fine thankfully
"this feels so much different compared to a franxx though it isn't bad" ichigo said

"oh easily" she replied
"alright then let's fly partner" i said as we launched from the base and straight towards yukon our GN drives moving us much faster then before with shogun squad as i decided to name them behind us
"we'll take care of the rampaging espers, you deal with any other nuisances that decide to appear"
"yes sir" they replied as we flew we soon arrived to find a shiranui taking on the berkut i believe it was called we effortlessly got between them blocking all of the strikes of the berkut with ease
"your not gonna beat the delphinium" ichigo said with a smirk as she drew a beam saber from the holster on the forearm and cut the berkut's arm clean off
"you aren't much a threat to us and i don't mind taking off your limbs if i have too" i said
"the serenity system should interfere with their esper abilities and stop their rampage" doctor franxx said through comms the serenity system was his creation a perfect hybrid of everything put together the ultimate support AI
"alright, bael, wake up" i said
"you called master" a feminine voice said then she scanned the situation
"ah i see, initiating quantum link up with enemy unit i am disrupting the prafka link now this will prove to be a painful process" bael said
"thank you bael" i said
"i live to serve my pilots" she replied we watched the berkut collapse to a knee
"shogun squad, report" i called
"all clear" meiya replied
"good we are leaving" i said as i hefted the damaged berkut over my shoulder
"wait a minute where do you think your going with my friends" a boy yelled out
"meiya" i called and immediately the shiranui had a blade to it's cockpit
"yui, tell your subordinate to stand down this man has direct jurisdiction from the shogun herself i know i was there when i volunteered to join his force" meiya said
"if it's from the shogun, then i must comply, yuuya you heard her stand down" yui said
"your welcome to join us meiya and extra member to shogun squad would prove very benefitial and of course you will get a full explanation, of course if that's alright with you captain" meiya said
"fine, i don't honestly care" i said she nodded
"yes sir" meiya said
"why just me" yui asked
"because of your skill as a pilot i'm gonna be honest do to unforeseen circumstances that won't be stated here the XFJ project is going to be scrapped and replaced by the GND project" meiya said
"i....i see" yui said
"all will be explained at base i promise just come with us" meiya said
"alright lead the way, lieutenant sandak it seems this is good bye i expect you'll get my men back to base" yui said as followed the other type-00's and the advanced shiranui unit for she knew it was a shiranui unit
