Licorice Cookie opened the door carefully. It was 10PM. Everyone were already asleep. Licorice Cookies plan was to sneak to his room and pretend he was there all the time. He knew it wasn't going to work but he had to go to his room anyway so it didn't really matter. All he was hoping for was not getting caught. He really didn't feel like explaining himself right now. Bat-Cat sat on his shoulder to not make any sounds with his wings. He slowly began to walk through the corridors searching for his room. He was already half way there when he heard footsteps. He froze in place. The footsteps got louder. He quickly looked around to spot any hiding place. His attention caught one of the pillars on the right side of the hallway. He ran towards it and hid behind it. Right after that the door opened. Someone entered the hallway and closed the door behind them. It was hard to tell who that was in the darkness surrounding the hallway. They walked past Licorice Cookie and opened another door leading to the next hallway. This time they didn't close the door. Licorice Cookie thought it looked like a trap but he had nothing else to do than just fall for it. He started sneaking behind the pillars fearing that if he'd go back to the hallway he'd get spotted. He stopped in front of the open door. He moved his head to look at the next hallway. He could still see the person but they were far away. He quickly sneaked to the next hallway and started hiding behind the pillars again. Most of the hallways were the same. Some of them had paintings on the walls. They were usually some flowers or other plants. Sometimes it was hard to tell what the painting was showing since they were really dusty. It seemed like no one had been caring for them in years. Licorice Cookie wanted to enter his room as quick as possible. He started running. He was nearly there. He could already see the door to his room. Even tho there were lots of rooms with same doors Licorice Cookie recognized them all. Dark Enchantress Cookies castle was huge but he knew it better than his own pockets. He remembered the way to every room and corridor. He remembered all the secret spots. What book to pull what brick to push. He remembered every room in this castle. He was quiet proud of his good memory. As Licorice Cookie was trying to figure out how to explain himself tomorrow Bat-Cat was desperately trying to not fall off of his masters shoulder. Licorice Cookie finally stopped. He turned to the left. This is were he had his room. The door was opened and he could see the same person from before inside. He hid behind the nearest pillar. The only thing that was sticking out was his head. As the person turned around he hid his head. And closed his eyes. He hoped that the person didn't see him. He heard footsteps coming closer to him. The footsteps stopped for a while and then the sound of closing door. Licorice Cookie could hear the person turn and go back to where he first saw them. All with this empty, strange echo that was always making him anxious. When he couldn't hear anything he slowly walked to the door. He opened it slowly. The noise seemed loud and dangerous. He quickly went inside and closed the door. His room wasn't as scary as the rest of the castle. Anyone who went inside could agree that this was way more comfortable than those empty hallways. Looking from the door, on the left there was a pretty big bed. The sheets looked really comfortable. In front i
Of it there was a small table with a shelf. The shelf was locked and could be open with a key. On the table there were some old books and a glass with water. For Licorice Cookie it was half empty. On the right side there was a medium size desk with a chair in front of it. On the desktop there were some pens, pencils and papers. It was the only place in the castle that felt like home. Even in the darkness it was giving a feeling of being safe. Bat-Cat jumped off Licorice Cookies shoulder and flew towards a chair. He sat down and watched his master lay on the bed. Licorice Cookie was exhausted from all the work and emotions.
-'How am I going to explain why I was late?'
-'Are you sure they know?'
-'Didn't you saw this person? They were in my room!'
-'Oh right.. I think you're in trouble, meowster.'
-'Oh really? I didn't know!'
Licorice Cookie had enough yet he couldn't calm down. How was he going to explain himself and... Poison Mushroom Cookie. Who were they? Where did they come from? How did they survive alone? So many questions yet no answers. He already decided to go back to Poison Mushroom Cookie tomorrow but he didn't expect to get much answers. They didn't seem to know much about themselves either. He kept thinking everything that has happened untill eventually he fell asleep.
