September first arrived and James begrudgingly left to go to the Prefect Carriage, ignoring the mocking of his friends.

It appeared Fawn was right, Lily was Head-Girl, and she was thoroughly stunned at who her partner was. She wasn't upset though, she had noticed how caring James Potter could be and how much help he gave to Remus during the full moons. There had been many nights in which James had taken over Remus' rounds and accompanied Lily in scouting about the castle for mischief makers. In all honesty, it was a good choice having him as Head-Boy and Lily was excited to see how he handled it.

Sirius was laying down, head in Remus' lap, legs in Fawn's as he shared a joke with Peter. Remus was reading per usual, occasionally looking up to listen to the others. Regulus was involved in a passionate conversation with Fawn about House-Elf rights, they were planning to start up S.P.E.W which she had told him about.

"Remus, do you want to join?" asked Fawn.

He looked up with a small smile, having heard everything already, "Sure."

  "Yeah?"

"Yeah, I'm all for helping marginalized groups."

Fawn beamed. "Brilliant, we can add a Werewolf chapter too."

Sirius shot up, legs swinging back to the ground as Remus snapped closed his novel. Regulus was smirking slightly and Peter's licorice wand hung limply from his gaping mouth.

  "What?" Remus choked.

"Sorry?" Fawn feigned ignorance, batting her lashes in faux confusion.

"Why do you want a Werewolf chapter?" Sirius inquired.

Fawn shrugged. "Well, they are discriminated against in the Wizarding World right? It's only fair to advocate for them as well. We can focus on others such as Goblins and Giants too."

Remus visibly relaxed, though Sirius held a suspecting gaze. "Alright..."

Soon enough the train pulled into Hogsmeade Station inviting the Gryffindor's to embark on their last Hogwarts adventure.

James and Sirius were shouting out their predictions for the houses of each new student, groaning in disappointment when, nine times out of ten, they were wrong. Lily joined in after a while, angering the boys further when she was correct every time.

"Gryffindor!" James and Sirius shouted as Lily guessed Ravenclaw.

"RAVENCLAW!" The hat called out, causing Lily to smile proudly to herself.

"Why are we always wrong!" whined James.

"Well," Lily said with a smirk, "Not every student can be in Gryffindor you know."

"Hey," Sirius pointed a finger at the red-head, "We have guessed Slytherin a few times too!"
Lily laughed, turning to converse with Alice about their upcoming Advanced Arithmancy class.

"I can't believe it's our last year," said Marlene later that night. Lily nodded in agreement, it had all gone so fast. Fawn too wished they could all stay here, stay young forever. They would all be joining the Order shortly after graduation and everything was downhill after that unless she could find a way to save them.

"Well let's make the most of it," Alice said with a smile. The girls laughed, and vowed that together this year would be life changing for each and every one of them.

"Speaking of life-changing," Marlene said with a smirk in Lily's direction, "You and Potter?"

Lily turned an impressive shade of red. "There is no me and Potter," she muttered.

  "Yet."

  "Oh shove off!"

"So you do fancy him then?" asked Alice.

   "I- maybe," Lily admitted.

"Maybe?" Fawn grinned, egging on the girl to continue.

"Okay yes!" she said exasperatedly, "Are you idiots happy?"

"Very," said Marlene while the other two giggled.

  "Idiots, all of you."

The next few days went quickly, introductions to the N.E.W.T.S exams were made and course material was started immediately. There was no cushioning this year. The exams would be in December for them, seeing that they had to apply for jobs by early spring in order to have one lined up by the summer.

Alice and Marlene were both trying to be Aurors while Lily was planning to become a Healer. She was already assistant to Madam Pomfrey and was fantastic at it. Fawn wasn't too sure what she wanted to do with her life. The idea of being a Curse Breaker seemed intriguing and she was taking the required courses for it but was unsure if that was the best plan of action given what the future held. Balancing such a demanding job with the Order would be difficult to say the least.

As for the boys, James and Sirius too wanted to be Aurors, while Peter was planning to do some sort of Ministry job and Remus hadn't said what his plans were though Fawn knew he desired to be a professor.

Peter wanting to work in the Ministry of Magic was concerning to say the least. At this point the Ministry was already corrupt, denying the claims of war besides what was published in the Prophet. Knowing Peter's future, it made Fawn wonder if the reason he went down the path he did was due to the Ministry getting to him.

After all, Percy Weasley had lost himself quite a bit over her fifth year from it, going so far to deny Voldemort's rising. It was certainly not far-fetched to think that was what happened to Peter Pettigrew as well.

Everything was so complicated right now.

Was trying to save Peter a feat worth taking on? And if so, would it reap the rewards or was he a lost cause like Fawn had always thought? Right now he was only a young man who loved his friends, it was strange to know that such a sweet kid could become such an evil man in the span of four short years.

Maybe he changed due to corruption, maybe fear, or maybe that was only how he always was deep down. There was no way to really know at this point, but Fawn decided that saving Peter might be her one hope at saving James and Lily, so she'd try even if it pained her to do so.

There was still the fact that she needed to destroy Voldemort too if she truly wished to ensure their safety, but she had no way of knowing how to go about that so Peter was step one.
