The spirit now in him human form kept his hands above your head, threading his fine fingers gently through your hair, you snuggled closer to him, even in your dreams as him lay awake. Suna was looking at nothing from time to time at how your lips curved or you made little faces while you dreamed, he couldn't help but think about how beautiful you looked when resting, although for him everything you did would be considered cute.
He enjoyed the sensation of feeling your body completely clinging to his, however it lasted only a few more seconds, since when he returned to his spirit form he could only feel the heat that emanated from your skin, in that state you were just like a pocket of hot air. His brow furrowed at not being able to feel your weight, despite being able to feel your body it was like touching air that had a human figure.
It was an unpleasant feeling after feeling you completely, it's like you vanished in his eyes despite being present, but it was like your body couldn't meet his completely.

"It's okay Suna, you need to recover your energy to have your human body again."
"I don't like it." missed by his reply, you got up to face him, sitting in front of him watching carefully how his hands rested on yours, intertwining his fingers with yours, giving small circles caresses with his thumb "I don't like that we are in worlds separated."
Suna was not satisfied with this, he wanted more, he wanted to feel you far beyond mere caresses or kisses for a few hours, he needed more and wanted to untie himself from his chains as an all-powerful entity.
You released one of your hands to place it on his cheek, your heat permeated his body giving him more peace of mind, with a quick movement he grabbed your forearm pulling you, when you hit his chest he surrounded your figure tightening you closer to him. Your arms rested on his shoulders and your hands rested on his hair, making relaxing movements.
"Do you think I can abandon my duty?"
He whispered against your ear, with some trepidation about his words. You understood what he meant, you understood because he mentioned it earlier and you found a couple of old manuscripts in your room related to the subject. He wanted to abandon his duty as a protective entity to become fully human, not just for a few hours, but forever.
An unbreakable spell where you give up all your assets for being a mortal, but of course it would not be easy at all, every conjuration has its rules and you always have to give something in return, to begin with he didn't even know if that could be possible at all, get human mortality in exchange for what? under what conditions? It was something to learn about or risk.
"Okay, you don't need to become a mortal, that's fine."
You tried to make him stop thinking about that, as much as you liked having a human like Suna for you, you didn't want him to sacrifice everything for which he had been created, besides, if he really did, he would be giving the inevitable death a hug. He couldn't do something like that just because of your whim of having him by your side.
"No, I don't mind dying if I can spend my short human life with you." You were going to protest about his thoughts but he silenced you by placing one of his fingers on your lips to continue speaking "Death doesn't scare me knowing all the experiences that I can go through by your side, I won't regret being with you."
He cupped your face in his palms, his lips curved slightly into a tiny smile that warmed your heart and made you melt, but it was too much of a burden for you, you didn't want to steal his life. You looked away, still unsure of his decision, but knowing him, you couldn't stop him anymore. Suna was determined to give up his immortality for you, to live a normal and simple life for you, so you couldn't help but feel guilty.
"It will be fine, ok?"
He made you look him square in the eye, cupping your chin gently, his gaze so haunted and persistent that you almost forced yourself to answer.
"Ok."
You muttered, ending the subject, he wasn't going to change my mind. His smile widened to surround you with his arms again, leaving a small kiss on your forehead, you rested your head on his shoulder, hoping that everything could work out.
