"You're not gonna tell me?"Makato says
"You need to uncover the mystery of this case yourself. Otherwise, the case will end and you'll remain unconvinced." She says
"...Hm? I think I know what you're getting at now. And I agree. Makoto, it's up to you to find the truth. For your sake. For everyone's sake. And for Sayaka's sake." Kenta tells him
"A-Alright..." Makoto says, but he still looks as if he doesn't quite understand yet
"There's one other thing I wanted to ask you about. Do you know how the door to your bathroom got broken?" Kyoko asks him
"Broken? Oh, you mean how it gets stuck?" Makoto says
"Gets stuck?" Kyoko questions him
"Yeah, I guess I'm the only one, but the door doesn't fit in the frame quite right. When I first tried to use it, I thought it was just locked. But once you learn the trick, it opens no problem." Makoto elaborates
"So the door doesn't quite fit the frame, huh? But actually, I'm referring to the broken doorknob." Kyoko says
"Huh? The doorknob?"
"You didn't notice? Well, just try closing the bathroom door. I'm sure you'll see right away what I'm talking about." Kyoko tells him
Makoto does as Kyoko instructed and shuts the bathroomdoor.
"Huh?""The doorknob... Is completely busted." Kenta points out
"Wh-What the heck!? It's practically about to fall off! Why is it like this...?" Makoto asks
"Someone must have used a screwdriver or something similar to unscrew it. Whatever it was, it's obvious this was intentional.
"What!? It was intentional? Why would someone want to do that!?" Makoto asks
"I guess maybe they were trying to get the door unlocked and ended up breaking the whole thing." Kenta theorizes
"But my bathroom doesn't have a lock on it. Only the girls' bathrooms can lock, right?" Makoto asks Kyoko stood there for a while, lost in thought. Then, apparently struck with a sudden realization, she shot a question at Makoto...
"I have just one more question for you. You mentioned earlier that your bathroom door would get stuck, right? Did you tell anyone about that?" She asks
"Oh, umm... Well, I did tell Sayaka about it last night, when we switched rooms." Makoto answers
"So what you're saying is, only you and Sayaka knew about it. Hmm... Interesting..." Kyoko says while she had the slightest hint of a smirk on her face.
One would get the sense that she was really starting to get into all this.
"Then that clears that up." Kyoko says"Huh? What clears what up? I'm so lost..." Makoto admits
"Well, see you later." Kyoko leaves
"What a strange girl. She's smart, yet....so stupid" Kenta mumbles
"What is it?" Makoto asks him
"No, it's nothing. I'm going to check something else out, so I'll see you later Makoto." Kenta says"Ah, bye..." Makoto waves as Kenta also leaves
***"Now if I were a killer, what would I do with evidence...?" Kenta asks himself as he wanders around the halls
"Perhaps... The trash room." Kenta says
