M : surprise...

As kanna pulled kathir to the living room, he saw everyone out there wishing him happy birthday with all smiles...
Even murugan was there with a sweet box...
Adding to it, he saw a decorated table with a round plate of kesari taking form as a cake with a note "Happy birthday kathir"
He smiled as an instant embarassment and happiness slushed through him...

K : yena ma... ithellam... chinna pullaiya naanu...

L : chinna pullainga than pirantha naal kondadanuma yena... mulla cake vettalam nu sonna... nammaku than antha palakkame illaaye... venaam nu solavum udane kesariya senju ipadi cake madhiri panita...

Kathir twisted his eyebrows in question which she gestured back with a proud smile and a little disappointed pout making him grin...

K : cake illana yena... ithe romba azhaga iruke... namma veetula yaarukume panathu illaa... enaku than eh mudhal...

(Alternating looks between kesari and mullai) intha vazhthu eluthirukarathu kuda azhaga iruku... cake yellam ithu pakathula kuda varathu...

L : apadi sollu da... yepadi panrom nu mukkiyam illa... yevalo manasaara panrom ngrathu than mukkiyam... antha vagaila un kesari ah yaarum adichuka mudiyaathu mullaa... nee cake cut panala nu vesanapadathe...

M : neenga chummaa enna samaathanam pana solrenga atha...

K : ei... apadi...

Ka : sabbaa... pesikite irukenga... anne kesari azhaga iruku nu paathute irupiya... vettu nee... inum virunthu vera iruku... enaku ippove pasikithu... appuram naan paatuku un kesari cake ah karandila yeduthu sapitutu poiduven...

Everyone laughed at kanna and assembled to kesari cutting as mullai strolled lakshmi near kathir...
He did cut the cake as everyone sang the customary birthday song and fed the first mouth to lakshmi...
His look shifted to mullai as if it said his wish of feeding her next but she shooked her head as no rolling her eyes to others which he got it right...
After feeding everyone, he came back to mullai and they stood with a excitement looking at eachother completely lost in themselves...
When kathir was about to feed her, kanna pushed his hand impatiently which painted her cheeks with kesari...

K (irritated) : loose payale... ipadiya panuvaa...

Ka : sorry ne... oru aarvam than...

M : cha paravala ithula yena iruku... thanks da kanna...

Before everyone could understand what was that thanks about, mullai took kesari in her hand and smeared in kathir's face with a cheerful glee...

M : happy birthday kathiru... intha kesari madhiriye intha varusham unaku inippa irukatum...

K : mavale...

Though kathir pretended to be annoyed, he ended up smiling just like everyone around...

M : sirichutiya... yepavum pola sidu sidu nu sidumoonji ah illaama ipadi eee nu illuchutu illichavaaya iruka vazhthukal...

K (laughing) : ipadi yellam un oruthiya thavira yaarum vazhthu sola matanga... vazhthuku romba nandri... kesarikum...

Both their talks were so normal but the eyes were in different mode of communication...
Kathir's eyes were shining in contentment with happiness while mullai's eyes were drinking it as if it was the only one she wanted her whole life...
Their eyes didnt fail to notice the kesari on her chubby cheeks and his bearded cheeks which was a major distraction giving them oodles of dreams...
