Chapter 10: Drugs And Whiskey

Ryan's POV:

A week earlier....

They took her

Greyson fucking took her

Just like he said he would. Fucking hell, If I never had borrowed the fucking money she would still be home

Non of this would have happened

I'm sitting here in my office chair downing a bottle of Whiskey trying to figure out a plan

A plan to get my daughter back

While he's doing god knows what to her

He's to strong, to powerful, to smart, to rich, I'm never gonna be able to get her back

And for the second time it's been my fault.

My head pounding, her voice just keeps rambling in my head

I was supposed to be her loving, caring father. But nope I'm her disappointing, asshole father.

I'm supposed to be there for here whenever she needs something. But I fucked up that father daughter relationship a long time ago.

A ring interrupts my thinking.

My son names pops up on my phone screen.

Atlas Jones

I pick up the phone already knowing what's coming

I answer the phone putting it up to my ear, downing my last sip of whiskey

"How The Fuck Did You Let Them Get To Her?!" Atlas yells threw the phone, "Again!"

Sighing not having a reasonable answer

"Dad Why Did They Take Veronica?! The Second time Might I add. Who In The World Knows What There Gonna Do To Her Now?!?" He keeps yelling not letting me explain, "There Not Just Gonna Let Her Go Like The Last Time. Her Conditions Were Fucking Terrible Last Time. They Raped Her, Drugged Her, Tortured her, And Tried To Murder Her the last time. She Was Only 13 Last Time, Now She's 22 Now They Can Do Whatever The Fuck They Want To Her."

When I finally got Veronica back from them when she was 13, she was fucking terrible. They drugged her so she couldn't remember anything. They raped her, tortured her, beat her, got her drunk, and tried to murder her.

They did the same with my wife

All she remembers is my wife getting murdered right in front of her eyes.

And now they have her, again.

And I let them

I let them take her

I didn't protect her enough.

"Atlas look I-" I was cut off by him yelling at me again

"No dad no! They have her again, who knows what Mendez has in store for her again." He takes a deep breath trying to calm down, "I'm getting her back with or without you. And then I'm gonna kill him"
