I woke up to the soft feeling of something furry under my arm.
I looked and it was Judy.
"Uh hey" I said.
"Oh mark! You're awake!" She said, excited.
"I'm sorry about yesterday." I said."It's okay. You were just scared." She said.
"Is everyone else okay?" I asked.
"Yeah, were good" she said.
"But what about you?" She asked.
"I'm fine" I said.
I sighed.
"You don't look fine" she said.
"It's just a bit hard to accept that everyone I ever knew is long dead. I'm the only one left." I said."Well, what was life like in your era?" She asked.
"Well it was very similar to life here, except us humans ran the show. Mammals were also there but they were in their primitive stages." I said.
"So that's why you were so surprised to see talking mammals?" She asked.
"Yeah" I said.
"Did you leave behind any family?" She asked.
"Well, my best friend, Frank" I said, tears welling up. I was about to cry again.
She immediately jumped up and hugged me.
"Shhh... shhhhhh... It's okay. I'm here." She said.
"Here, how about I let you stay at my apartment as soon as they let you out?" She asked.
"Would it be any trouble?" I asked.
"If course not! I would love to have some more company" she said.
I lightly smiled. "Thank you so much!" I said, about to cry.
"No worries." she said.
(Sorry it took a while. I'm working on other projects so chapters may take time to release. But I haven't given up yet!)
