Scratch me
Scratch the surface
See the marks
your fingers leave.
The layer underneath,
is it gold
or lead?
Scratch me
Peel me apart
Unravel me and sew me back together
Watch the stitching come undone.
Consider me
Do you like what you have discovered?
Scratch the surface of my soul
For that is as far
as you can go.
