"are you new?"

Y/n pov

As if the airport wasn't enough of a challenge, the place you are moving to, encanto, is a MAZE! My mom and dad finally tell me that we are here. I help my little sister, lily, out of the car and we pick our rooms, I get the biggest one.

Your parents take a few luggages inside and you go outside to get some more. You take a few and can barely hold them, they are super heavy!! All of a sudden a cute boy with curly hair, freckles, and a cute smile comes over to me.

"Hi! Do you need help?" He asks kindly

"A little bit, yes." You respond out of breath

He takes 2 bags and starts carrying them to the house.

"Are you new?" he asked

"Yea! I just got here today!" You respond

"Well it's nice to meet you then, I'm Camilo" he says and kisses my hand

My face turns a light pink "o-oh I'm y/n" you respond flustered

He notices and starts playing with your mind "falling for me already princesa~"

"OH SHUT IT-"

He bursts out laughing

"Oh! whos this?" Your mom asks you with a kind look on her face

"This is my friend Camilo, and he's helping us get the luggages inside!"

"Oh ok!" Your mom calls out and leaves to help you dad

"Oh! Does your family know about the encanto tradition?" He asked excitedly

"I don't think so.. at least I was never told about it" you say in a confused tone

"Ok so basically, when someone new moves here, we have a party celebrating their arrival the week after! Would your family want one?"
He asked me with a sweet smile

"Probably! Where would the party be hosted-" and just like that he took my hand and started running to a mountain gaze not too far from my house

"Here! This is my house, and we are la famila madrigal! Come on in!" He says dragging me in

"My family has magical powers!" So here's my older cousin Luisa" he introduced you

You stood at the bottom of a tall muscular women, she was very pretty! But so was also holding 4 donkeys on her back along with a plant in her arms..

"Wow!! Your power is so cool!!" You say

"Why thank you! Nice to meet you, I'm Lusia but I think Camilo already told you" she said in a deep yet calming voice

"Nice to meet you too-" and before you knew it, a girl with green glasses, a white and blue dress with embroidery on it, and thick curly hair came up and said hi to you

"Hi! I'm mirabel! Nice to meet you!"
She said happily!

"Nice to meet you too! And wow look at these flowers-"

"Did someone say.. flowers?" A girl with a beautiful blue dress with splash's of color on it comes down on a vine and hands you a bouquet

"I- wow- your stunning!" I said to her

"Aw thank you!"

You went around going to meet everyone, you were a little overwhelmed

She is such a nice person.. she's trying to be friends with everyone! Do I like her? No i just met her.. but do I-"
I was cut off in my own thought when y/n came back to me

"Wait so if everyone in your family has powers.. does that mean-"

"Yep!" I said changing into her, her jaw dropped

"YOU ARE A SHAPESHIFTER THATS SO COOL OMG!!!"

She was cute when she was excited..

"Well I hope we can make you guys a welcome party! Come back if your parents say yes" I yelled as she started running back to her house

I come back to the house only to see my little sister playing with a friend, who was PETTING A TIGER.

"GET AWAY FROM THE TIGER IT WILL HURT YOU GUYS-"

" relax big sis! My friend Antonio can talk to animals!"

So he's a madrigal too!

"Nice to meet you Antonio! But I have to ask our parents a question." You say bending down to the little guy

"Ok!" He says as you run to your parents and ask them if we can have the welcome party.

"Sure, why not" they both say

You barley could wait
