Marinette's Family Reunion

Gotham City

(Sorry about not updating in a while, I got sick and had to make up my schoolwork, but here's the chapter. I hope you enjoy it!)
Talia
    Never before had I used a miraculous as my father wanted to use them for his benefit. I had always wondered how it would be to use magic like this and for good, well at least not bad, purposes.
    "Voyage!" I call out thinking of Gotham, New Jersey.
    I drive through the portal directly afterwards. As I look around I see we have in fact arrived in Gotham. This place may be known as "the city of crime", but if you look hard enough, it has some hidden beauty.
"Kaalki dismount," I say before we continue our drive to Wayne manner.
As we drive up, the gates open for us. I'm guessing Alfreda can still predict almost anything. Marinette and I walk up to the door that is opened in an instant.
"Greetings Miss Talia. Come in along with your companion," Alfred says before ushering us inside.

"Greetings Miss Talia. Come in along with your companion," says the man that opened the door to this humongous mansion.
    "Of course Alfred," mom says before being ushered inside of this vast manner.
    I look around us and wish I had my sketch book to make more designs for my friends. Though my friends tried to get me to sell my creations, as they could all could promote me as some of them are a bit famous. Kagami is a famous fencer, Chloe is the mayor's daughter, Nino is gaining fans with his DJ-ing, and Luka and Juleka are also gaining a small fan base with their musical talents. I just was afraid that after Lila and her followers had turned against me and started bringing down my confidence that no one would like them. Though for time to time, Jagged Stone, or Uncle Jagged as he wants to be called, still comes to get me to make him a jacket or something else small along those lines.
After a while, I'm pulled from my thought process by a man with black hair and blue eyes clearing his throat.
"What are you doing here?" he says with a glare towards mom.
"Just introducing you to your daughter beloved," she says.
For the first time, his eyes move towards me, so I hide behind my mom.
    "What do you mean 'our daughter'?" the man before us asks.
    Mom turns to me and says pointing to a room to the side, "Darling, why don't you go over in that room for a while, and I'll get you in a minute?"
"Okay," I say and walk into the room.
Afterwards, I ask Trixx to use an illusion and make me invisible. Once that's done, I sneak out to listen to the conversation.
"Why didn't you tell me I had a daughter?" the man, who I can assume is my father, asks mom.
"My father would have killed her. There was already a male heir, so she would have not been needed. She got adopted after I had to give her away. I was going to retrieve her, but she was happy. Instead, I made sure she was always safe and happy and tried my best not to intervene, but her adopted family got rid of her because of lies," mom says.
"How do I know this isn't another trick Talia?" my dad asks.
I signal to Trixx to let down the illusion making everyone in the room's eyes widen.
"Come on mom, let's go," I say while pulling her back to the door.
"But, I thought you wanted to meet the rest of your family," she says.
"If they don't want me then, I don't need them," I say with determination walking out.
"Whatever you say darling," she says.
