Ava Ma'am gave a letter writing worksheet to every student in the class and asked us to complete it in twenty minutes. Since she had taught this in the previous class, I found the worksheet pretty easy.
But Adrian had no clue what to write so he kept requesting me to show my worksheet for him to copy from it.
"Yo! twin boy, please show me your letter. Please! bruv."
I refused at first but he kept on pestering me about it. This was my very first conversation with him and it was like this.
I finally let him copy mine to shut his yapping.
She came to collect the worksheet. After collecting my sheet she took Adrian's. She looked surprised for a second there. She looked at Adrian with a smile and asked
"What is your name?"
"It is Adrian ma'am.", replied Adrian with full confidence.
She then caught him by his ears and as she squeezed them she asked
"Then why did you write your partner Robert Wilson's name in your worksheet, also you used his name in the letter instead of your own name."
The whole class was laughing their heads off while Adrian stood there with an embarrassed look on his face.
I thought it was over after this but she caught me also by my ear, twisted it slightly and asked
"why did you show him your paper?"
Her tone was so scary that I spoke my mind and told her that he had asked me to show, so I did. She then said "The line."
"If he had asked to to jump down the window, will you jump?"
I really wanted to reply with a "No! I'm scared of heights." But the way she stared at me gave me second thoughts on back answering her so I apologized to her and told her that I wont repeat it ever again.
After that I never had a conversation with Adrian but I still remember that name though he forgot to write that down in the paper.
Coming back to the present situation, both the student's phone were confiscated. Here in our school even smart watches aren't allowed so forget about smart phones.
Talking about smart watches, last year my pal Adam D'souza whom I have known since middle school used his saved up money to buy a 'Smart watch' without letting his parents know about it.
In the morning when we arrived to school he kept yakking as usual about unwanted boring stuffs, mostly internet fail videos. No one except Karter would bother to listen to his talks early in the morning, but in the end he said
"Hey guys! Today I used my pocket money to buy a smart watch."
That kind of took everyone's attention as no one in our gang had ever used or had a smartwatch. All of us were like
"Hey Adam your talks are very interesting to hear you know. Did you say something about a smart watch?"
He then felt energetic and happy as we were finally actually listening to him.
He took a box out and took something out that looked like an item bought from a toy store. We were pretty disappointed when we found out that the smartwatch he was talking about was a 100 bucks one which only had two useful functions.
It showed time and it had a buzzer. When the class started we took turns with his watch to play with the buzzer. We had the watch only for half a day as our class leader Deborah couldn't take it anymore as the buzzer seemed to have irritated her a lot.
So she complained to our teacher who then came to Adam to confiscate his smartwatch. When Adam took out the watch from his pocket and handed it to our teacher, even she was confused if this was even a watch.
But since such watches weren't allowed she asked Adam to take it back from her in the end of the day and never to bring it back again. The end.
Well I reached my bus on time and luckily got a seat. My bus was usually packed in the evening so getting a seat was somewhat considered a miracle. It was right behind the Newman Brothers......
