Your hair was slightly windblown from the trip you'd made, on-foot, from your nearby college campus to the current location you were at.
On the large sofa, sat your best friend, Brian May, his arms folded and his legs crossed as he waited for you. Beside him was his guitar, one that he'd built with his father and one that you affectionately knew as 'Red' - even though the official term was 'The Red Special'.
From the playful scowl on his face, you could tell that he'd been waiting for quite a while. It was nearly seven in the evening, and you'd previously promised to meet him at five - however, your college classes had taken a sudden change in schedule, and you'd been forced to delay your meeting with your best friend.
You and Brian had been the best of friends since your Primary School days, having met at when you were in your third year. From the moment you'd met, you'd been inseparable, even though you had more of a love-hate relationship - the kind that all the best best friends had.
And even now, when you were college students, you were still very close to each other - but you weren't the only good friend he had, and he wasn't the only good friend you had either.
Brian was also very close to three other boys, and together, the four of them made a rock band, calling themselves Queen. Freddie, John, and Roger were the names of the other three young men, and they fell into the same age category as you and Brian did - John being the youngest.
You were always proud to say that Brian was extremely intelligent, pursuing Physics and flourishing like no other - but you were also proud to say that he harboured an impeccable love for music. His specialty was the guitar, but he could also play the piano - yet nothing could quite top the way he played the guitar. He'd loved the art so much, and that was why he'd worked with his father to build his own guitar, and it truly was one of a kind.
As for the other three boys, Freddie served as the lead vocalist, Roger played the drums, and John governed bass.
Though Queen wasn't a serious success yet, you were certain that they would make their big debut one day, because their music had a sound unlike anything else. The boys had formed the band a little less than a year prior to the present moment, and for the time being, they simply played small gigs here and there, trying to feel their way toward a breakthrough of an opportunity.
And you'd been there to support them, all the way. Even when things got a little rocky, and even when others didn't believe in them, you did, which was why you were so close to them.
For that, they loved you dearly, and they'd sworn that you would go with them if they ever made it big.
At the moment, though, it was just a balance of study and music.
Usually, you all congregated at a shed that had previously been abandoned, and after turning it into somewhat of a home, that was where the boys made music. It was also a place to meet at to have fun whenever the days were dull, and you'd occasionally finish your homework there whilst the boys worked on their music.
