A/N: This is a short one. I dont like writing Munch chapters :P

Munch made a mistake.

Well honestly when it came to Mikaela he had made several but the most recent mistake was not saying anything. He had heard her ask for help, but for some reason, he said nothing.

Part of him thought she wouldn't want his help... the other? The other part was nervous AF at just the thought of speaking to her. He would do something stupid, and she wouldn't like him anymore or something would happen. Either way, he stood still.

And the next thing he knew, Jake was helping her. It makes sense he volunteered to help someone random, he's a nice guy. Munch just didn't realize how nice he was.

He watched the two of them leave... then an idea crossed his mind. He would just go help Mikaela now! It would be a pleasant surprise.

"Uh I think I left my phone in my civics classroom. Coach, can I go get it?"

"Sure Munch." Coach P said, but even if he had so no it would be no use, Munch was already out the door.

Quietly, he opened the main door of the building and slipped out. He saw Jake and Mikaela walking, then she started to cross the street, but Jake reached his arm out, grabbing the back of her hoodie and yanking her back harshly.

"What the hell?" Munch muttered under his breath.

There was a car, but it wasn't going fast... at all. Even from as far as he was, he saw an old woman driving, probably 5 miles an hour.

Then Jake whispered something in Mikaela's ear. Her body was ridgid.

Munch was speechless. What was happening?

Then she continued walking, and the trunk opened. In a daze, Munch went back inside, completely confused and utterly dumbfounded. He felt like a cocktail of emotions. Anger that he wasn't in Jakes position, confusion, and... almost a sense of betrayal.

What was Jake playing at?
