Mikaela looked at Munch. She couldn't believe what she was seeing. His hands were curled into fists, but they were hanging by this side.
"Munch... what the fuck?" She said.
"I..." Was all he offered.
"It doesn't matter." Jake said slowly, eyeing Munch. "I'm... sorry. For what I did."
"It's ok." Munch nearly whispered, looking deflated.
"Ok." She said. She felt like she was calming down a toddler. She turned around to face Jake. His gaze flitted down to her.
"Did he hit you? Are you okay?" Mikaela whispered to Jake, her voice dripping in concern.
"I'm okay." He said, nodding.
She turned around to face Munch. He looked completely defeated, his hands in his pockets and he was looking down at his shoes.
"God Munch, you looked like you we're about to throw fists." She said. He really had looked like that. She was kind of mad at him, she thought he was better than that. Better than using his fists instead of words... but apparently not.
"Sorry Jake." He croaked out turning around and heading down the hall, back to his class.
She turned back around to Jake.
She looked up into his eyes, searching them for anything that might tell her what that had been about.
"Mikaela..." he said. "I appreciate what you did. I didn't know what he was gonna do." He said. She gave him a tight lipped smile.
"I mean, I would've been able to handle it of course but still." He said, trying to lighten the mood. She laughed, not because it was funny, but she appreciated his spirit despite the fact he was about to be punched.
She gazed into his dark brown eyes, forgetting what she wanted to say. She was utterly lost in them. She didn't know what he was doing until there was only a small amount of space in between them. He leaned in a little more until they were only a centimeter away from each other. She didn't back away.
Damn it, what had she wanted say? He was so... distracting.
"Hi." He purred.
"Hi." She said.
She let her gaze flit down to his lips, which he licked as soon as her eyes fell to them and then back to his deep brown eyes.
"God... Mikaela... you make me crazy." He purred.
"I do?" She asked, not even because she questioned it but she just wanted to hear his voice.
"You really do. You... you're always in my head." He said.
"You're in mine, too." She said quietly. He smiled.
"I am?"
"Yes." She breathed.
He grabbed one of her wrists and then the other with just one of his. Her breath hitched.
"Mikaela... how do you feel about me?" He said.
"I like you. A lot. I like you're sense of humor, and I like you're uniqueness...and I like everything about you, Jake."
"Well..." he said. "I like everything about you, too." He said.
She didn't even notice him slowly driving them into the lockers behind the two until she felt her back against cold metal.
She couldn't hold back anymore and before she knew it she slipped one hand out of Jakes grasp and put it on the back of his head, bringing his lips to hers. He kissed her back, hard and passionate, like he couldn't stand to let her go.
She couldn't control it, and she let out a little noise, something in between a moan and a squeak. It drove Jake crazy, pressing his lips harder to hers.
Then finally he came up for air, only to latch onto her jaw a few moments later. He sucked at neck right under her jaw, gently biting the skin. This time she let out an actual moan.
After a minute or two she realized something... they were in the middle of school, and she was missing science class.
"Jake... I gotta... get back to class." She breathed out.
He came up for air, breathing heavily, almost panting. He had totally forgotten, she could tell.
"Shit... yeah. I'm sorry I-"
"It's ok. I'll find you again, at lunch... if that's ok with you?" She asked hopefully.
"Of course Mikaela. Anything for you.
Anything."
