"For the last time, I don't give lessons", Hyunjin rolls his eyes at you, trying his best to get away from you and your stupid request, "I am a fast learner.. I swear", You still try to convince him though deep down you knew he would have the same answer, "Hwang please", you continue to whine, following the skater boy, trying your to best to convince him to teach you how to ride those death wheels

"fucking- okay fine", Hyunjin turns around finally facing you, "if you get hurt its not on me", he shakes his head finally giving in your request and whining, "thank you so much", You squeal in excitement but soon stop noticing his cringed expression, "man, for someone who is popular and supposed to be cool, you're boring", You simply scoff, "don't make me change my decision", Hyunjin warns you as he finally places his skateboard down

"stand on it", he commands as you look at him. Now you are having second thoughts about this.. what if it's not as easy as those people on tiktok make it seem?, "do you wanna learn or can I go home?", Hyunjin snaps back as you shake your head. Cautiously resting one feet on the ash gray surface, you unconsciously grab onto his arm for support, "try to balance", he advises as he holds your fingers gently on his palms giving you the perfect support

"Bitch, I am gonna fall", You almost scream when he starts to walk making the skateboard beneath you move, "you won't, don't worry, He reassures you as you tighten your grip in his hands, "I don't want scraped knees. You let out a cranky whine which Hyunjin thankfully ignores as he slowly lets go of your hands.

"see I told you I am a fast lea-hhh"

"Yup", Hyunjin holds in his laugh as you look up at him thinking if you should just punch that attractive face of his, "son of bi-", you curse under your breath as you stand up rubbing your butt

Hyunjin stares at you as you tuck a strand of your hair behind your ear. He always found you somewhat attractive with your straight black hair which matched with your innocent brown eyes and even though he cringed at the thought, he was in love with you

You both knew each other since you both were about eight. Even though he was quite popular and known in school, Hyunjin had always been avoiding people but somehow you had managed to be the one he looked forward to meet but you were clueless as why his behavior changed around you and frankly speaking Hyunjin had no issue in bringing his feelings about you to words but there was this one issue-

"Where is that boyfriend of yours?", Hyunjin scoffed as you held his hand trying out a second attempt, "He is the one, I am learning this for", You sigh hating the fact that you always had to be a people pleaser, "quite too much effort for someone who has cheated and barely gives a fuck about you", He rolls his eyes as he waits for you to stand on the skateboard again

"Hyunie, I told you he has changed.. he loves me now", Even you didn't know if you were trying to convince him or yourself, "why can't you just leave him". Hyunjin speaks, his heart slightly fluttering at the nickname you often used for him, "he is not right for you"

"And you know what's right for me?", You scoff as you get off the board. You knew this would lead to another fight which you just wanted to avoid, "well if you gave me a chance", Hyunjin unwillingly lets go of your hand as you just stand there looking at him, "why do you favor that asshole so much? all he ever did is treat you like shit", Hyunjin scoffs rolling his eyes as you bite your lower lip hating he had to be right, "And as if you treat me any better", You choke on your words as you try your best to hold back those tears forming in the back of your eyes

"Well then tell me where is he at the moment?", Hyunjin could feel his heart pacing you wiped your tears. He hated to make you upset. "I love him okay, he might make some bad decisions but-", You swallow the lump forming in your throat, "I just love him too much to let him go", You sob hating yourself for being so delusional and naive but you had tried but somehow you always found your way back to the person who had hurt you the most and Hyunjin hated that

You feel his familiar arms wrapping around you as he caresses your hair gently trying to blink back his own tears. He would do anything to make you like him back but he just knew you would never be able to see him anything other than just friends and even though it ate him up alive, he had accepted it.

He knew he would treat you better than any other boy you had ever crushed on but somehow you were too blind to see why he was so affectionate towards you and too sensitive to let go off those who hurt you and Hyunjin wasn't fan of the fact that he always failed to protect you from those who took you for granted

Suddenly your phone rang as you step back after reading the contact id, "yeah babe", you wipe your tears as Hyunjin looks away putting his hands in his pocket. "I'll be there in two", you speak as you quickly pick up your bag and make your way out of the skate park forgetting about Hyunjin and your skating lessons with him

He stares at your back as the distance between you two keep increasing as he finally allows the tears he had been holding to roll down

"bye", he mumbles letting out a small chuckle as he picks up his skateboard. He will always be there for you, and wait for you even if it costed him everything.
