A youngster stood pathetically like a doll with no strings. She stared blankly into space with no focus. Her eyes once shining innocent turned dull.

There a man couldn't help but stare at her like she was trash. Scanning her once beautiful misty grey eyes slowly evaporating into crimson similar to the blood that is spread down from her nose.

"Pfft— Ahahaha!"

He couldn't help but laugh maniacally at her wretch appearance. What's even more amazing, he was the reason he caused her to turn this way.

The girl looked at the man in pain. But that was for a second as it immediately disappeared as it had never appeared in the first place.

She stared at the bloody ground. She fully stared at the bodies in a daze. She mumbled so softly like the sweet melody of a lullaby.

"We have work to do."

The man swiftly turned his calm posture with an indifferent voice. He stopped by her side and reached his hand out. She raised her head to stare at his hand with difficulty.

The man calmly took her slender hand and dragged her out of the once-bloody room.

As she was dragged she couldn't help but let a sympathetic glance at the corpses that were in such a disheveled and unrecognizable state.

She once again mumbled softly until the darkness consumed her once again towards another task...

"Report."

Drew stepped forward and bowed toward Rebekah who was behind her study desk. She looked up at him and swiftly placed her document to the side.

"The send investigators have found some unusual movements between the invaders and the monsters beyond the forest."

Drew spoke with a stoic voice reporting obediently to his master. Nadia couldn't help but glare at him. She tugged her eyeglasses back and passed the files toward Rebekah.

"These are the results that were investigated within their area."

Rebekah held the files that were given to her and went through them.

In the office, only papers were heard being flipped.

The atmosphere of the room was silent. The two subordinate quietly watched their master who was calmly staring at the documents in the files without emotion in her eyes.

Rebekah placed the documents down on her desk with a calm demeanor.

Drew straightened his posture even more at the cold atmosphere and Nadia coldly organized the document back into the files without being told so. Rebekah gazed at Nadia's actions for a moment and turned towards Drew who was quietly standing at the same spot when he came in.

"It seems some distraction has been going on the low-ranked monster's inhabitants..."

She coldly spoke out. She placed her hands on top of her desk and rose from her seat. She quietly walked behind her and gazed out the wide glass window into the garden.

There you could see two children playing with the newly fallen snow with a child who looks a few years older than them.

She softly smiled at their state and turned back to look at her two loyal friends who had been with her until now.

"I guess I have to leave to check the state of it myself."

Hearing their lord's command Nadia calmly accepts her words while Drew hurriedly tries to convince her.
