Chapter 20 - with her

Cappuccino POV:

I know we're supposed to be serious at work and pay attention but I can't help it- Timekeeper makes work so much fun! Even more now sense she's my girlfriend...we're a couple now, I've never thought she'd actually like me. She always seemed out of my league, she's so intelligent, charming, outgoing, and gorgeous, how am I so lucky to end up with someone like her? "Dear I believe your spacing out again ~ also your spilling coffee on the ground" she pointed down at the floor. "Oh gosh! I'm so sorry! I'll clean it up or pay for it if you want!" I placed my coffee mug off to the side and got a hand full of napkins to clean it up. "Nonsense my lovely pastry! It's quite alright a janitor will clean it up as usual!" She said while taking a sip from her latte. "Nonono! I think it's the right thing to do! I spilled it after all, let me do it" I rolled up sleeves and began to clean up the mess, trying not to leave any coffee stain behind. "Hmm...dear, you've been acting all fidgety for quite a while now, is there something bothering you?" She cupped my face in a gently manner and made me look up to her. "Umm..maybe? I don't know..it's just that I'm new to this..ya know relationship and it makes me nervous how to act around you, and it's also because it makes me wonder how a clumsy and shy person got with someone as amazing as you—" she then shushed me by giving me a soft kiss before pulling away. "Is that why you've been acting that way? My beloved pastry, I've been in love with you ever sense our years of youth! When I was that little croissant, you've always been stuck in my head making me wonder how to ever approach you. And for the contrary, I don't think we're quite different at all just one is more calm in the mind my love" I felt myself laugh, she has such a way with words. "I like your funny words, time cookie" I leaned close to her and left a quick kiss on her cheek after throwing away the napkins will cold coffee dripping of them.

I then felt myself get lifted up in the air and held close. "Come now coffee bean, let me take you somewhere you'd probably love" I felt myself blush and leaned into her chest. "So..like a date?" She stiffened up slightly and smiled. "You could say that, coffee bean" she then opened a time rift and headed inside it. We both then appeared into an unknown location, a beautiful old city at night, merchants selling whatever their hearts desired. I heard Timekeeper walk along the soft and crunchy grass over to a river. "Here let me help you my lovely pastry" she then float down onto a gondola that was already on the river and placed me down on the opposite side and she sat where the paddles were. "Whoa, a gondola ride? How did you manage to get it for us?" She chuckled and began to row the boat. "Don't worry about it coffee bean! I may have 'borrowed' it without them knowing" she winked with a small smirk. "Wouldn't that be considered stealing?" She shook her head. "Not if they didn't notice!" We both just laughed at what she had said right before she let go of one of the paddles and lifted a finger. "How about a quick wardrobe change?" She then snapped her fingers and both out clothes changed into different attires. She had a white suit on that button up on both sides and had draped down from the back and wore a big white floppy hat, I also noticed she had tied her hair back into a ponytail, that poor rubber band won't last too long and had a bouquet of Bell-Flowers with a little card that had a heart sticker on it.

I then looked at myself and saw that I was wearing a yellow sparkly dress that had yellow gear patterns on it and had one frill on the side that went up to my hips, along with a soft boa that had sparkled with a few stars on it yellow and black. I wore a smaller floppy hat that had a yellow ribbon with a bit of that same texture of the boa I had on with a few pieces of gears and a clock hand. Even my glasses changed into cogwheel formed yellow ones. I then saw timekeeper gazing at me with a daydreaming goofy smile. "Puddin you alright? ~" I side in a flirty tone while leaning closer to her. "Yeah I'm alright just admiring your beauty ~" she winked and made a kissy face gesture at me. I felt my face heat up and started to laugh lightly. "Your to sweet! But I have to ask how did you get these beautiful outfits! You look handsome in that suit puddin.." I scooted closer to her and cupped her face with both my hands. "Just shopping I decided to do without you knowing, would you like your gifts later or now my lovely pastry?.." she said in a husk tone while leaning close to me. "Later love.." we both had kissed and wrapped our arms around each other.

We both just kept kissing on another whenever we pleased, the lips, cheek, and neck. We both knew we wanted to go further but we decided to wait a few months sense we just got into the relationship. We both then just sat there together huddling close to each other we both heard the people out in the crowd were having a party and singing (you can play the song up at the top now 🤎) I heard timekeeper open a drink and got two wine glasses . "Would you like some dear?" I nodded and got one of the glasses. She then poured some in both glasses. "I'm having fun on our date Tk.." I said while taking a sip from the glass. "I'm glad you are love.." taking a sip from the glass she then placed it down and held me beside her on the gondola so I wouldn't fall. " I don't know if it's the wine but..I realize that I'm hypnotized...I could just gaze at you for hours.." I said as I drank more wine. "Hold on now dear, don't drink so much" she placed a kiss on my forehead and smirked. "Come on love before anyone spots us" she then picked me up along with the wine.

We then appeared on a beautiful bridge that's over the river we were on in the gondola. I felt her put me down and put our drinks on the corner of the bridge. We heard the towns people get louder and sing more, we both then looked at each other and wrapped our arms around one another.  "A quick dance coffee bean?" I nodded and smiled softly. "I feel alive...when I'm beside.." she mumbled softly as we danced together. Huh she must know what their singing over there then. "From this angle...like an angel ~" she then moved one of her hands to my cheek and caressed it in a careful manner. "When did you get so cheesy miss director? Hehe! Knowing the lyrics to a song" she then pulled me down and dipped me. "What can I say? Gotta pamper my beloved shouldn't I?" We both just kept dancing along together the whole night and finished up the bottle of wine, it was an amazing first date.

~ next day - At Cappuccino's home ~

I woke up slowly and had the worst hangover, I've never drank before no wonder it hit me hard last night. As I got up to look around, I saw my room was cleaned up and I had my normal clothes again. Wait a minute- the smell of breakfast filled the air as I opened the door and went down stair. "Good morning sleep head, how's the hangover?" It was Timekeeper she had made me breakfast and was waiting for me at the dinner table with a cup of coffee. "Horrible...thank you for taking me back home and for the breakfast really.." I then sat down beside her and looked down at the breakfast. She spelled out ' I cleaned up the house for you ~ ;) ' I looked over at her and pulled her into a hug. "Thanks mon chéri..." I said tiredly, at this point I didn't feel like speaking English anymore and ended up talking to her in French for the rest of the day. She tried to understand me and sooner she spawned a French dictionary and a translator app to understand whatever the heck I was saying. She sometimes said " what? . 🔻 . " " Can you repeat that coffee bean? " And so on.

At least she tried 🤎
