after the curt conversation, you turned on your heels and left. lexa couldn't help but smile. she had missed you while you were away, scouting the group of people who had fell out of the sky. and since the minute you left, she had been eagerly awaiting for your return.
you had been by her side through it all, since her conclave, before that even. her most loyal soldier, and friend. you had held her through her grief, and comforted her through her nightmares.
when word was sent to the commander that you would have to leave her side, dread overtook her. her people needed you, to help fight and capture and kill.
for the two weeks you were gone, each day her worry grew, overtaking her soul, her whole being. thoughts of you.
lexa couldn't risk admitting it, but she had feelings for you.
feelings that could get you killed, but also make you feel like the most loved person in the universe.
