Mr Kennedy's P.O.V

"Good day everyone, I thank you all for coming even though I didn't expect as many people" I said trying to humor the 'crowd'.

I planned a meeting for just 15
persons and it has been converted to 30.

Smh.

"For the last 2 years, I have envisioned this company to soar beyond Jamaican soil. Many might see it as a means of profit but I see it as way of spreading our culture and promoting integration within the Caribbean. This is why the board and myself have decide to expand in Barbados."

I use my remote thing to change the slides. The slides went to the pictures of the resort being built and the progress being made.

I continue "The resort is at its final stages and will be done by December 20."

I hear everyone whispering among themselves and writing down the information that interest them.

The presentation continues with Jacob expounding on the financial aspect of the project.
As he speaks my eyes wanders around the room, and some how my eyes stumble upon her.

As I take her in, I can't help but feel bad about how I spoke to her. I don't ever speak to women that way, well, pretty ones at that.
But my mind didn't allow me to be smooth with her, as I am with women, in general.

I put my focus back to the presentation.

Destiny's P.O.V
11:30am

So far so good. Putting the misunderstanding we had aside, he organized this flawlessly. It's obvious that he is passionate about what he does and wants to put this company in a better place.

I see he's is gearing up for C.E.O.

Jacob had just finish speaking and handed over back to him.

I can't help but wonder why wasn't the marketing aspect mentioned? Jacob spoke on finance and some other guy spoke on technology for a bit.

"Now that we covered the basics, I would like to go back to the last stages of the resort. As I said, construction and renovations will be done on the 20th of December. The board has decided to launch the grand opening of the resort on the 3rd of January. We intend for our stake holders to join us. Also, our executives will be required to spend some additional days for business purposes." He said.

January 3rd...

My birthday is January 4th.

So I'll be spending my birthday at a hotel, on an exotic island all expenses paid by the white man?

Yes.

"Any questions?" He added

The room went silent for a while until somebody spoke up.

"Ah yes!" Exlaimed someone at the front.

It looks and sounds like the minister.

He was then given the go ahead to speak.

"You spoke about the most generic attributes of this project like tech, money, sustainability, the whole 9 yards. These are very important don't get me wrong but what about the marketing? Imagine talking about all the profit you'll make and all the 'techy' stuff being implemented and you don't have effective marketing. Not once was that mentioned, who is responsible?" The minister said.

The eyes on the podium suddenly turn on me.

No, we are not gonna do this...

Jacob then steps in.

"Well we had some hicups in regards to the marketing department, that's our fault" he justified.

The meeting later adjourns.

However in further chapters to come in the book, he will be referred to as Alex to lessen confusion (there is more than one character who's last name is Kennedy) but the p.o.v remains the same until they are...you know *winks*
