Our Family

A/N: okay I know all my other one shots are more relationship stories but I had an idea for this and I really liked how it came out so I decided to post it on here instead of making a whole story out of it

Natalia' POV

James and I have been married for 2 years now. Occasionally, we would fool around and when we did, we were safe... okay most of the time... okay sometimes but that's not the point. I woke up feeling under the weather. Not a cold or flu way, just a nauseous feeling. thinking it could be food poisoning I shrugged it off and continued with my day. Throughout the day, the thought of me being pregnant was on the back of my mind so I decided to go to the store and buy a couple of pregnancy tests. I set the timer on my phone and walk out, walking to the kitchen to grab a glass of water. As I'm grabbing a glass of water, the timer on my phone goes off. I sigh, dreading to walk upstairs to see the test but I know I have to. I set down the glass and walk up stairs to the bathroom. I pick up the test. My eyes fall over the world pregnant. My eyes widen and I gasp.

"T-this isn't real"

I take the other tests and again, positive. Not knowing what to do, I call my little sister Yelena. 20 minutes later she arrives.

"You wanted me to come over, why?"

"Something, something happened"

"What is it? You seem worried"

I hand her the two pregnancy tests without saying anything. She gasps and looks up at me

"You're pregnant!"

I nod, still not knowing what to say to my younger sister mainly because I was still in shock myself

"I'm so happy for you!"

She hugs me tightly and I smile slightly

"How do you feel about all of this?"

"Honestly, I'm still trying to figure out how I feel about all this. I'm shocked. Really I am. I have no idea what James is going to say when he comes back so I'm nervous"

"He will be happy Natasha. He loves you so much. If he's mad, I'll beat his ass for you"

I chuckle at my sister's craziness. She always had a crazy side to her which I love

"thank you, Lena"

A week has passed since I've found out I'm pregnant. Today is the day James returns from a month-long mission and today is the day I tell him.

James's POV

I unlock the front door to the house and step in. setting my bag down. I'm so happy I'm finally back home and reunited with my doll

"Natalia, doll"

I call out. I can hear music coming from the kitchen so I walk over to the kitchen. I see my beautiful redheaded wife standing in front of the stove cooking something. I wrap my arms around her waist. Before I'm able to say anything, she grabs my arm and twists it back, making me fall to one of my knees.

"James?!"

"Hey doll"

She lets go of my arm and I get up from the floor

"This wasn't the welcome home greeting I was expecting"

I smirk down at her

"I'm so sorry, I didn't realize it was you and I didn't expect you would be home for another couple of hours"

"Hey, it's okay doll. Really. It's okay"

I kiss her and place my flesh hand on her cheek

"I missed you"
