Surprise!

It is a regular Friday afternoon at the high school Abigail works at. it was a Friday meaning that everything was going a bit slower than usual but everyone still being productive

Hunter: "Ms. Buckley"

Abigail: "yes hunter?"

Hunter: "I have a question"

Abigail: "of course"

She walks over to the student and sits down next to him

Hunter: "this is kind of a stupid question-"

Abigail: "nonsense, what is it?"

Hunter: "can you explain how you did this problem, please"

Abigail: "what number?"

Hunter: "problem number 3"

Abigail: "it's pretty simple actually. why don't we do it on the whiteboard so you can see it better and if you mess up, we can easily erase it"

Abigail helps out her student

As she is helping her student, the principal of the school walks into the classroom

Davis: "Ms. Buckely"

Abigail: "principal Davis. Hunter, try finishing this while I talk with Principal Davis"

Abigail walks over to her boss who is standing towards the back of the room

Davis: "there is an important guest coming and they will be touring around the classrooms. I need you adn the kids to be on your best behavior. She can make or break the reputation that we have all built for this school"

Abigail: "of course. When are they coming?"

Davis: "soon, I don't know when"

Abigail nods

Abigail: "i promise you the students and I will be on our best behavior"

Davis: "thank you, I know I can always count on you"

Principal Davis walks out and they all continue doing what they were doing before. Some time passes and as everyone is working, a woman walks into the classroom. All the students stare but do not say anything. Abigail is too distracted with helping a few students that she doesn't realize someone had walked in

Carol: "I'm looking for an Abigail Buckley, soon to be Abigail Danvers"

Abigail's face brightens up when she hears the familiar voice. She turns around to see her fiancee Carol standing at the doorway in her air force uniform

Abigail: "Carol!"

She rushes over, throwing her arms around her fiancee

Carol: "surprise!"

Abigail: "you're here, you're really here"

Carol: "I am love"

Carol kisses Abigail's forehead as they continue to hug

Carol had been away for a year, the only contact they had were letters and occasionally a phone call or two

Abigail: "I'm so happy you're home, I missed you so much"

Carol: "so did I"

She kisses Abigail's forehead once more and picks up her

Abigail: "Carol put me down!"

Everyone including Abigail laughs

Carol puts Abigail back down on her feet and they both kiss
