Always Pulled Apart

Christine is walking through the halls of the hospital when she gets pulled into a storage room

Christine: "Calliope! You scared me!"

She playfully slaps Calliope's right arm

Calliope: "sorry babe. I haven't seen you all day"

Christine: "I know, I've been so busy"

Calliope: "hm, interesting"

Christine: "what? What's wrong?"

Calliope: "well Dr Palmer, I diagnose you with over separation from your girlfriend"

Christine: "oh really?"

Calliope: "mhm"

Calliope wraps her arms around Christine's waist and Christine wraps her arms around calliopes neck, both kissing. As they are kissing, one of the nurses opens the door and both doctors pull away from each other

Liv: "Dr Hofferson, you're needed in room 6"

Calliope: "right. I'll see you in a bit"

Christine: "bye"

Calliope: "bye"

She kisses Christine's cheek and walks out with Liv

Liv: "I'm glad that I walked in now and not a minute later because I would have seen things that I would never be able to get out of my head"

Calliope: "screw you Liv"

Liv laughs

Liv: "sorry for taking you away from your girlfriend"

Calliope: "I swear, we never get to spend time together, one of us is always pulled, even when we are off of work"

Liv: "sorry"

Calliope: "yeah yeah yeah, so what am I needed for?"

Liv: "patient came in complaining of pains in her right arm/wrist"

Calliope: "did we try to figure out what happened?"

Liv: "not really. Haiden is in her mid teens, I'd say 16 or 17. She's really reserved and I couldn't get her to talk"

Calliope: "okay, let's see what's wrong"

She knows on the door and walks in

Calliope: "hello, I'm doctor Hofferson, I'll be helping you out today. The nurse informed me that you have pain in your right hand, can you tell me about that?"

The girl doesn't say anything

Calliope: "say, is that an Originals shirt?"

Haiden nods

Calliope: "My sister actually had the pleasure of working on it. She was was one of the writers. My favorite character is Freya, she was awesome with her magic and a bit of a badass"

Haiden smiles

Haiden: "I really like Elijah"

Calliope: "I like him as well. Something about a man with an accent and in a suit just hits"

They both laugh

Calliope: "can you tell me what's bothering you?"

Haiden: "I-I work in theater at school and I was moving a couch. There wasn't enough room between the ouch and wall so I grabbed it weirdly and its been hurting since"

Calliope: "can I see?"

Haiden nods and calliope starts to examine it

Calliope: "you have a sprained wrist. It's nothing too bad so it should heal in a few weeks. Let me grab you a brace, I'll be right back"

A few minutes later

Calliope: "how does that feel?"

Haiden: "a lot better"

Calliope: "with the brace, it should restrict movement and keep your wrist in place as it heals. If the pain gets too hard to bare, take either advil or Tylenol"

Haiden nods and a nurse walks into the room

Calliope: "nurse Maddie will finish helping you out. It was nice meeting you Haiden, I'm glad to meet another originals fan"

Haiden smiles and Calliope walks out

Liv: "went well?"

Calliope: "it did, sprained wrist so nothing too bad. Should heal within 3-5 weeks"

Liv:"that's good to hear"

Calliope: "where else am I needed?"

Liv: "27"

Calliope: "okay. Where is Christine?"

Liv: "she was called for an operation"

Calliope: "how bad?"

Liv: "pretty bad. This person was in a bad car crash. T boned with a semi"

Calliope: "shit"

Liv: "it's a miracle that they made it out alive"

Calliope: "yeah it is"

The next day

Calliope is in her office filling out some paperwork when her door opens. She looks up ad sees Christine walking in

Calliope: "hi babe"

Christine: "hi baby"

Christine walks over to calliope and sits down on her girlfriends laps, resting her head on calliopes shoulder and wrapping her arms around her girlfriend neck

Calliope: "you okay? How did the operation go?"

Christine: "it went well. I'm really tired"

Calliope moves strands of hair away from Christine's hair

Calliope: "how long?"

Christine: "26 hours"

Calliope: "wow"

Christine: "I'm so tired"

Calliope: "I bet. Can you head out now?"

Christine: "mhm, I just need to clock out"

Calliope: "I have 30 minutes until I finish, want to sleep on the couch, I'll take you home"

Christine: "okay"

30 minutes later

Calliope: "Christine, babe, wake up"

Christine slowly opens her eyes

Calliope: "hi...it's time to clock out and head home"

Christine: "okay"

She sits up and gets up from the couch

20 minutes later

Calliope: "we are here, want me to help you inside?"

Christine: "please"

Calliope: "okay"

She helps Christine gather her stuff and they walk inside the house

Christine: "I'm going to change, I'll be right back"

Calliope: "okay"

Christine walks away to her bedroom

A few minutes later, Calliope grows worried so she walks to Christine's room where she sees her girlfriend asleep on the bed. Chuckling to herself, Calliope spreads a blanket over Christine's body and kissing her cheek. Calliope walks out, shutting the door as she walks out

A few hours later

Christine walks out of her bedroom, still slightly asleep

Christine: "baby, what are you doing?"

Calliope; "when I went to check on you, you were asleep and i figured you would be hungry when you wake up"

Christine: "well whatever you made smells good"

Calliope: "sit down and I will serve you"

Christine: "okay"

They both kiss as Christine walks to the dining table
