when things get loud

When things gets loud
Turn the music up
And the brain down

Try to ignore
All the jumbling thoughts
and the tears trying to come out

Just disappear;
melt away, pretend it's not happening
And you'll survive

Well maybe sometimes
I don't wanna survive
Not like this, not the way it is

Just keep your head above the water,
that's all that matters
as long as nobody sees what's going on underneath

So there's no solution
to when things get loud
I guess we're stuck turning those sad songs up,
and the brain down
