She cries.
She breaks down, on her knees
And she cries.But no one moves.
No one looks
Because if they did,She would be selfish
Searching for attention,
Helpless"They don't believe me,"
She cries,
"they don't believe."But no one moves.
No one looks
Because if they did,They might realize,
That she can't hold the whole world
In her handsBroken;
She tries to get help,
Run from the darkness that consumes herBut no one moves.
No one looks
Because if they did,They might realize that she's not okay
And they need to put effort into that,
Effort into herShe hides;
She doesn't break, not on her knees
But she hidesShe runs,
Far away
Away from them, away from thisAway from the darkness,
So that it doesn't
Consume herSo that she doesn't cry,
Doesn't break down,
On her kneesShe hides,
So that she doesn't cry,
Because hiding has always been easier than crying.
